List the players who are the future of Pakistan cricket but hasn't been able to perform in PSL..

For me,
Fakhar Zaman.
Amad Butt.
Usama Mir.

I think Pakistan cricket team needs a lower order hitter and frankly I've been in search of one for a long time and hasn't been able to find one..

I don't really like TTFs like Shahzaib and etc so not including him..

List your players...

Usama has a great name and hasn't had the opportunity to play a match this season. Doesn't deserve to be in the list.

:yk

When he came up initially I thought this guy can perform and Yasir isn't LOI legspinner so I thought Usama will do something but he didn't...

Before the forum goes into panic mode, I would like to remind everyone that it has only been 2 games for each team and the vast majority of domestic players tend to underperform at these types of leagues.

Expect Amad Butt to come good with the bat. The upside of this spot fixing scandal is that Amad will definitely get more games because of the unavailability of Khalid Latif.

Butt is an agile fielder and his bowling seems good. Hasan Ali bowled in the early 130's in the last PSL and now bowls late 130's and early 140's. Amad is already bowling at that pace so in a year's time, he is very much capable of developing into a fiery pacer. Has a smooth action and decent run up. Has the perfect physique for a fast bowler too.

Seriously hope he can learn a thing or two about swing from Akram. He is in good hands and the future of Pakistan cricket.

He has that Machoism in him to be a fiery hitter as well bit like Maxwell he needs to concentrate on this, as we need a lower order hitter who can blast the opposition in 10,12 balls..
Umar is a disappointment not just he isnt consistent but he is unable to hit sixes which he could've initially so we need a no.7,8 hitter..
Imad Wasim isn't a hitter and calling him that is disgrace to any hitter so Amad Butt has a good chance of becoimg one and settling then....

Amad, Talat, Saif, Yamin, Fakhar (his own fault so far), Gohar, Hasan Mohsin, Usama, Shadab.

For me the worrying part is the failure of Babar and Haris.

Haris has been a shadow of his former self and if I remember correctly has a total of zero boundaries in his two sluggish innings.

Babar did score a 50 today, but if you watched the entire innings you would have noticed how unsettled he was at the crease, struggled to find the boundaries and hardly timed a ball. At one point he had a strike rate of less than a 100 after playing 30 odd balls which is completely unacceptable in T20s.

Babar Azam from what I saw in the Australian ODI series is unable to put his foot on the pedal when needed. Expecting him to go hell for leather in a T20 is probably asking for too much.

It will take a little while for Haris to get back to his best. Be patient. He did nothing wrong in the match that Peshawar won. He knew he had to bat through with Morgan at the other end

...Except even for today's game, they dropped him.

I fully expect Irfan, Sami, Rumman, Ajmal to play all games with maybe Shadab finding a spot.

Talat and Amad should consider themselves unlucky that they are under a dinosaur.

Lol only if misbah gives youngsters a proper chance, misbah doesnt trusts youngsters to be honest first game how he handled Ammad and drop next game and yesterday how he handled shadab was actually sad.

If misbah was captain of peshawar zalmi previous season we wouldnt see hasan ali in national team for sure

I agree with this. Still think we should be patient with these two.

I would rather love to have Shadab Khan in the national team. Usama or any other spinner may not be as effective in LOIs so all rounders in the team should be Imad Wasim , Mohammed Nawaz and Shadab Khan. One or 2 Fast bowling All rounders should be groomed.

So far in the international stint Nawaz has been disappointing, he didn't perform with the bat or the ball so I'm really not looking forward to him, on the other hand in those two shots Hasan Khan looked better than Nawaz..

Fakhar and Ammad have been disappointing.

Ammad did play one game, but he was bowling in the 130's mark and was wayward, which is inexcusable at that pace.

As for Usama Mir, he is in the supplementary category, hence he hasn't played and I don't know whether they have intentions of activating him or already have.

Amad is a mediocre bowler. I have yet to see him bat but I feel he won't be any better than Hammad Adam. I have said before both Harris and Babar lack power hitting. In fact a part from Sharjeel we lack a power hitter who could create fear in the opposing camp. Malik and Umar are good but not world class and Sarfraz is more of an accumulator than hitter.
It would be good if somebody like talat and yameen get chances to showcase their talents

Amad and Talat chances are over in this psl. They should play for a different team next year. But shouldn't play under this shameless captain who only loves oldies like him.

Sami is bowling good but Ajmal and Irfan don't deserve to play even one more game.

I had good hopes from Shadab but he wasn't really pitching the ball at the right spot. His googly was skiddy which is good. Hope he does well in the future.

shadab khan is someone i expect something in the future from but i am not sure how he will be used in this tournament. the good thing is dean jones thinks of him highly so that is a plus

The captain's primary objective is to win games not to try out new players. The oldies (Haddin, Watson and Smith) enabled him to win the opening match. Amad Butt's bowling was extremely mediocre. He got clobbered all over the ground. I do not blame Misbah at all for benching him.

Misbah's aim is to win matches not to give opportunities to mediocre players who have been overhyped by Pakpassion members.

Good players seize the big moments.

If they perform, then they belong. If they don't, then they either don't belong or hope as heck they get another shot.

Let's hope they get the chances to nail it.

PSL did give Pakistan some good, but I'd argue not exceptional, talents last season.

The PSL ultimately is in place to develop youngsters from our own country. Giving the youngsters a chance is vital but ones who we hope would get a chance. No one in the league (Pakistani) has the capability to be a so called 'power hitter' and that is just fact and we have to make best of what we have.

No surprise. Played the same way in the AUS series.

Yet misbah plays imran khalid who takes 10fer every match. Please stop defending what is wrong. We saw what misbah thought of babar azam last year. What a poor batsmen he is scored 4 centuries already and misbah scored a grand total of 0 so far. An outstanding batsmen misbah is.

Psl is not for youngsters but for oldies like zulfi, misbah and Co as they can play for us even when they are in their graves.

There's nobody quality enough to be our future. The ones you mentioned don't fit the bill for me.

The only ones who can make it are the likes of Asghar, Azam which he already did.

I think Peshawar Zalmi should give a chance to Khushdil Shah, It's always nice to see a Left Hander and would be interesting to see the way he bats, Also considering Hafeez is struggling big time with the bat, He may get a chance.

Haven't seen him, but should certainly given a chance over Hafeez.

The franchises don't work with that ideology though. They'll still stick to the master blaster Hafeez.

PSL seems like a money minting machine for budhay players. Talented youngsters have no chance here.

PZ has been giving chances to youngsters like Hassan and Asghar, So they should definitely take the gamble with him, Also recently scored two centuries so he is in fine form hence an ideal opportunity.
