So PTI gets brownie points for displaying the cake and taking it away. PTI is as bad as other parties gutless and spineless and catering to the fundamentalists as always. No naya Pakistan
Bro, keeping the bias aside, if all the parties stood together with this decision, the mullahs could had be defeated.
Problem is while pti does have the govt, no one is strong enough to stand against the mullah brigade.
Remember during PMLN's govt we saw how ahsan iqbal was targetted. Khadim rizvi and his dogs took the whole city hostage. I remember how a commute of 45 minutes became 4 hrs.
Pmln stood their ground but yet the dogs did not leave.
This is why it was pathetic from pmln that they oppose this initiative from pti.
Just to score politics point and destabilize the democratic govt, these guys ended up destroying the future of Pakistan.
From Atif Mian only pakistan could had benefited. The guy is amongest the top 20 economists. Other country's will be approaching for his expertise now.

Ahsan iqbal did nothing wrong. What he did was right and not even illegal and yet khadim got him to revert that law.
This? This was nothing. Again no rules were violated by adding atif in the council but there would had been unrest.
The only good thing from this is that this time khadim rIzvi and his supporters wont able to say that it was because of them this was reverted. If that had happened, it would had been 0-3 khadim rizvi.
That would had been khadim getting more support as he had thrice been able to influence a decision in the honor of islam.
You may argue that the blasphemy case wasnt solved because of him, but thats something you and i know. For the local population, they think khadim got it to changed.
Khadim rivi winning support is more dangerous for everyone. Just his one dharna made him come third in many constituencies in lahore.
However, as Imran is the pm, him, his part and his supporters will have to accept the blame that he will recieve.
I was once watching a video on youtube where musharaffe was invited as a guest at some north american institution and some pakistani ahmadis asked them this ahmadi situation in pakista. Musharaffe said that while he has ahmadi friends there is nothing that could be done to improve their situation and that is something he also had to accept and he apologised for that.
The only thing we could hope for is Imrans govt does take help from atif, keep him as an adviser, but they dont announce this publicly.
