Footage showing police dispersing a group of Muslim protesters outside a Hindu temple on the outskirts of Birmingham circulated on social media on Tuesday, 20 September.

This video shows the chanting group surrounding the Durga Bhawan temple in Smethwick, amid a reported rise in tensions between Hindus and Muslims in the UK.

According to Muslim news site 5Pillars, the group were protesting against a reportedly planned visit by “notorious anti-Muslim activist,” Sadhvi Rithambara.

5Pillars said around 200 people were involved in the protest.

I am not going to lie, after watching the disgusting crimes in Kashmir, the rapes of young girls, burning, lynching of people by Hindutvas , it makes one feel so angry because we couldn't get near them. They dont understand, now we actually want them to come out in small or large numbers so we can in defence of course, let those frustrations loose. Of course its a feeling of anger & frustration and doesnt mean anyone should go out to be violent, esp Muslims as its against the law. If that Sadhvi person is visiting a temple, it is none of the business of Muslims to surround a temple and bully the worshippers.

I assume they applied to the authorities for a march, which was foolishly accepted. All people are allowed to march or protest within the boundaries of the law. Coaches arrived from outside of the town for police to escort them on a few mile walk. Police failed to check for weapons or determine the hate they were shouting.

You do not need a UK passport to complain or write to the local MP. Understand this simple fact.

Secondly, where these immigrants come from, those who are causing trouble, does matter. The majority are Indian Hindus, who dare not speak up in their motherland because they are outnumbered by Indian Muslims in places they live.
