Focussing only on the positives please:
1) Potent pace attack - Junaid was brilliant yesterday and Afridi has been good throughout the tournament. The duo can threaten any batting side in the world. Amir needs a good break before the World Cup, way too much pressure on him and miracles are expected everytime he has the ball in hand. Time off from cricket will do him good. Only a fool will write him off in English conditions. Very much a top notch pace attack with plenty of back-up like Bling Ali etc.
2) Malik - Going by current form, temprament and the experience he has, easily among the top ODI players in the world atm. Has been brilliant in the Asia Cup and if he carries this form to the WC Pakistan's batting will look a lot stronger.
3) Fit fielding unit - Some drops, yes unfortunately. But this is the fittest Pakistan unit by far. Will only get better from here. Up there with the best in the world.
4) Good bench strength - Azhar Ali, Mohammad Hafeez, Shan Masood, Yasir Shah, Imad Wasim, Hussain Talat, Fawad Alam...... there is no dreath of talent. Plenty of time to go and the upcoming results will help fine-tune the best combo to take to England.
5) Back to being under-dogs - The tag has always suited Pakistan and that's when the team is most threatening. The whole favourites, champion mindset drama-baazi simply put unecessary pressure especially on the youngsters. This tournamnet has filled the team with bucket loads of humility and the absence of hype will be good for the players.
