ok folks the Premiership season starts in a couple of weeks time and once again we have a Fantasy Football competition for PPers.

Last season we chose the Channel 4 site. However this time around after consulting GA, we have opted for the Premier League site.

Once you have created your team then you will need the pin number to add your team to the PP League - this can be obtained from myself of Geordie Ahmed.

Yes I know, this is the cricket forum, but to generate more interest I've posted this thread in here. Once the competition has started all updates will be in the PP Leagues forum

after the start of the season are we onl allowedy to make 1 change each week and any further changes in that week will be deducted from our total points?

That is correct - if you exceed the 1 change then you lose 4 points for every change you make

so for example if you make 3 changes in a week then you will lose 8 points

yes we do... quite passionately... especially here in Toronto ... we have an extremely diverse community.. lots of soccer fans... we have our own team called Toronto FC ... even though they suck all the games go sold out ) ) )

Ice Hockey is definitely king here... I am a big Toronto Maple Leafs fan...

regarding captaincy i put Ronaldo as captain... not a smart thing to do with his off field issues but i took a gamble... i was thinking Fabregas as captain ... or Rooney...

the whole transfer argument he is having with the Manchester United management... he wants to move to Real Madrid i feel that might get him benched or he won't try as hard until they move him... that's why it's a big risk... who is your captain btw?

Changing your captain does not cost you - however the changes have to be made according to the deadlines to take effect

) Yaar, I don't know the first thing about Football.

The only players I know are the guys on my rigged team from Fifa 06 (Ibrahimovic, Eto'o, Ronaldhinio, and Nedved). And I know a few others but I don't even know how it works.

I mean how do defensive players get points?

Is there a rankings system I can hit up and just select the best players?

^^^ their is an option which enables u to select a lucky dip team and yes their is a rankings sytem from which last seasons points are looked at, however their is a limit on the players u could choose from eachclub along with u ensuring u do not go over the limit in regards to the total cost of the team.

no, you can chagne the players free of cost. use the transfers section

Yes, I realized that. But honestly, its still useless, because "4" is the lowest rating for defenders, and GKs and neither of them are worth trading out for lower ones.

Plus only 3 defenders play, and I have the two L dudes so I think i should be ok. I think my midfield is pretty decent according to last years stats, and can't be improved.

So the team prolly stays as it, as nothing is really possible to change.

GA, can you explain how the transfers work once the season gets going.

My understanding is that you are allowed 1 transfer per week, after the previous weeks games have finished? Any more than 1 transfer per week and its -4 points ?

still need to make some changes to some players who are facing a battle to be fit and also to players who i am not sure will be regulars.

as for u winning GA, NO CHANCE . i am made for Fantasy Footy, 2 time F.A cup winner and a School Champion, this is only a couple of years back when i was at school, their used to be about 30-40 teams, this is no challenge for me

in pre-season he has been starting most games, also ? Spurs dont really have any other class striker, so Berbatov will play (i hope)
