Even after that stellar series he still averages 36 against WI. In fact, he seems to average under 37 against every team except Pakistan and Afghanistan.

I know Tamim is a good batsman. And he has improved over time but is he really better than Dhawan?

I don't watch enough of Bangladesh's matches so I can't say myself.

No I know that Tamim has been excellent in the last few years. I just think it's hyperbolic to say he is far better than Dhawan.

Really? What makes you say it? You never never know in LOI cricket and especially in UAE conditions.

Also since it is not a high profile tournament, the stronger teams can blink and BD can take advantage of the situation.

Afghanistan are a good side no doubt.

Afghans knocked out the mighty Sri Lankans who won world T20 in BD with more the 85% of the crowd cheering them on against India but same Lankan fans backstabbed BD in nidahas trophy. They also won Asia cup in Bdesh 2014, got great support. Karma has hit them, they are the first to be knocked out of Asia cup 2018, by Afg.

So if the mighty Lankans can get k’od am sure it won’t hurt a “minnow” losing to the new asian super power Afghanistan!
