The Multan Sultans will face the Lahore Qalandars in the 16th match of the 2025 Pakistan Super League (PSL) on Saturday, April 26, at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.

Lahore Qalandars, despite having a strong batting lineup, have struggled with consistency and are looking to avoid a third consecutive defeat.

Meanwhile, the Multan Sultans have had a tough season so far, managing just one win in five matches. Sitting at the bottom of the table with the lowest net run rate (NRR), they must secure a victory in this game to stay in contention for the playoffs.

SQUADS:

Multan Sultans:
Michael Bracewell, Mohammad Rizwan, Usama Mir, David Willey, Iftikhar Ahmed, Usman Khan, Chris Jordan, Kamran Ghulam, Mohammad Hasnain, Akif Javed, Gudakesh Motie, Josh Little, Faisal Akram, Tayyab Tahir, Ubaid Shah, Shahid Aziz, Johnson Charles, Muhammad Amir Barki, Shai Hope, Yasir Khan.

Lahore Qalandars: Daryl Mitchell, Fakhar Zaman, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf, Kusal Perera, Sikandar Raza, Abdullah Shafique, Jahandad Khan, Zaman Khan, Asif Afridi, Asif Ali, David Wiese, Muhammad Akhlaq, Rishad Hossain, Mohammad Azab, Momin Qamar, Mohammad Naeem, Sam Billings, Salman Ali Mirza, Tom Curran.

Rizwan probably already afraid seeing how quick the Lahore track is right now.

He’s already made his mind up 120 will be a winning score if they bat first.

MS might win this tbh. Lahore falling off track. Story of their entire PSL history excluding a few campaigns

Riz is a fighter. He will come out to open the innings regardless of how difficult the pitch is. He will lead from the front and will target a win.

Yeah we know he fights everyone to make sure Pakistan doesn’t progress

Very disappointing crowd for a Saturday and a Lahore Qalandars home game. PCB needs to avoid holding back to back games in the same city and venue, need to spread things out like Game 1 Multan, Game 2 Pindi, Game 3 Lahore, Game 4 Karachi and repeat.

Hosting back to back games in the same venue dilutes and saturates fan interest

Best to develop more venues like Faisalabad, Peshawar, Sialkot, Gujranwala. Those places will be packed.

You can be 30-5 in the powerplay and still end up with 140 here

Or you can do what Multan are doing and eventually end up with 140 lol

So now Curran, Shaheen, Rauf and Afridi last 10

Now show us the anchoring was important

Add 150 in the last 10

How Multan management is allowing this baffles me , he needs to be dropped.
Yes very strange. All PSL captains except Warner are openly misusing their authority as captain. Someone has to step in either franchise management or PCB otherwise quality of cricket will never improve in PSL.

After watching this I am afraid this might be happening in domestic cricket as well if there is no check

Mohammad Rizwan has become the leading run-scorer of HBL PSL X, sitting at the top with 243 runs so far. The Multan Sultans skipper continues to lead from the front as his side takes on Shaheen Afridi’s Lahore Qalandars tonight.

Sahibzada Farhan (236 runs) and James Vince (216 runs) follow closely behind, while Rizwan's teammate Usman Khan is also in the top five with 212 runs. Islamabad United’s Colin Munro rounds off the list with 196 runs.

Ali Tareen is the biggest hypocrite. Talks about psl not reforming, progressing and then backs garbage like Rizwan and let's go of Multan Sultans core players who had helped the franchise do so for so many years.
