PSL 2018 Eliminator 2: Peshawar Zalmi defeat Karachi Kings to make it to PSL 2018 final

Will be a short flight from Lahore to Peshawar for the Zalmi.... I think if they are short on money they can take the train as well.

The only possible way Zalmi will lose today is if it rained all day in which case I think KK go through. If the match happens it's bye bye Karachi.

Karachi to thrash zalmi today and will win the trophy in style in front of home crowd.
 
With Afridi not playing, Dawson should be happy he doesnt have to bowl to him haha. And also, taking out afridis 4 overs with the ball, that's quite a loss. No Imad either, advantage Zalmi.

I think Pakistanis here havent seen Helicopters drying cricket grounds in India.

I remember watching at least 1 game in India where a helicopter was used to dry the ground. It was an international match however.
 
Pak Army sent multiple helis on the request of PCB to help them dry the field :))

not liking Amir appointed as captain of KK; this is even more worst than selecting Morgan as captain of KK; who is making these stupid decisions in KK :facepalm:
 
Zulfiqar Cobra is in for Imad Wasim,
Mukhtar Ahmed in for Afridi,
Danish Aziz in for Mushtaq Ahmed
 
People don't rate Mukhtar but he is the guy who can win it for Kings otherwise Kings don't stand a chance.
 
PCB needs to be smart here and not reduce the number of overs.

I am sure players don't mind playing the full game and the crowd wants to see a full game.

not a bad team .Except cobra .but again they had no options.NO danish in previous games shows the pathetic work of franchises for the local talent.

Lets not get our hopes up. Micky Arthur does not really bring in youngsters, he likes his oldies.

I expect Bopara to replace Morgan, Zulfi to replace Afridi

Daniyal and Mukhtar will warm up the benhc.

Ideally both Daniyal and Mukhtar should play

That is, if they have a live event afterwards. Live events over run all the time.

I am sure they get a better audience on a live event than a rerun of some 5 year old game.

I think the weather is supposed to get better than previously thought. And if overs were lost, that would mean Dawson would bowl less overs which could work in our favour haha. But, I want to see a full game we've got the goods with bat and ball to win this.
 
If Mukhtar does play, hopefully its a blinder that gets him a spot in the National team, would be an ideal partner for Fakhar.

In PSL, they should allow mid series trading - may be after 5 games. At least for local players.

There are so many quality players sitting for one team, whereas other teams are replacing injured players with Ramdhin & Zulfi Baba... If trading was allowed, Gohar could have found a place in KK team.

The team management and Afridi were pretty stupid to play him in Dubai and now again a repeat of last year that he misses a crucial game that too in Pakistan.

A very good idea.And KK just picked Danish when they had no options.I don,t know what were these Rashids and others doing all the year.He would have been their first pick even for playing eleven.
And give me a life Saud Shakil was in emerging category despite playing 70 domestics matches.
It means that 70 domestic matches mean nothing for PCB.lolzzzzzzzz:afridi1:afridi1:afridi1:afridi1

I think, there is a massive change coming in QG team - first their Foreign player policy; then may be coaching staff and local player selections. May be, apart from Sarfraz (& Viv), we might see several changes in roster and Coaching staff.

It is the age that has been set for emerging players i,e 23.You can't decide it upon having matches played also.

Are u even watching live broadcast, there is been persistent rain for the last 3 hours before the game was supposed to start. Don't judge still they done a great job, yes we pcb do need to buy supper dryers.
 
Didn't they have a delay yesterday but yet had a full game?

Why the change in policy today?
 
Karachi might be pulling a blinder here if they play the local talent like MUktar and Daniyal could be a watershed moment for PSL

It's just 35 minutes extra and they can make 10 of those in between innings. I understand, if it was in between game; but they are starting just an hour late.

On such wet days, shorten game means the side losing toss are screwed - they'll be put in when the out field is slow & wet.
