Hammad Azam represents generation of Trundlers in Pakistani domestic, avg high teens to low 20s, in last 10-12 years, thanks to wet and green wickets... All PPers asking for likes of Sadak to be in national team take a good look at him. Recently domestic records have been broken by 40 years old guy with big fat tummy and speed of 120

Main reason for terrible wicket is no international Cricket. In past Pakistan was forced to maintain 5/6 grounds to international standard because of test tours on regular basis, now there is no money to spend on domestic ground, that money has been given to UAE for most part to have international cricket there. Standard of pitches and ground has gone way done. I don't think its because of corruption, its nature or dynamic of business, this is again major area where no international cricket is hurting the future of Cricket.

Zalmi is a boring team. No big hitters except Tamim and Smith/Sammy who are hacks.

Sultans are a good team with lot of experienced players. They do their job like professionals. Hence look boring. The likes of Mailk, Sanga will make the batting look boring with their clinical chasing.

Today they looked awful.

Sultans did well today, they have good team but they're also missing some big hitters. Pollard is inconsistent, Malik and Sanga won't perform that well when required rate is very high, they're a shadlw of their former self.

Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Quetta, they are more exciting teams.

Tbh, it was pretty underwhelming.

Looks like Malik made it clinically boring.

I did watch few overs at the start and it's a shame that these days even adjudicators are matching the standard of cricket. Why on earth, Sanga should be the MoM over Irfaaan in this game I don't know - had PZ won it, I could have found a logic of Sanga winning it for them, but ..... youngsters should stop opting for a bowlers' career, and bowling should be done with bowling machine standing fixed at both ends - that'll save time as well & we'll be able to watch a full T20 game in 2 hours.

Not really a high scoring game.. didn't get to see many shots, and with the style of sanga and maliks batting it wasn't going to light up the world. The opening ceremony turned out to be better than the match.

Hopefully tomorrow with the likes of afridi, we get to see more action. If i remember correctly last PSL had pretty boring games at the start and towards late second half of the tournament every game was good. It might be somewhat similar this time, with higher stakes later in the tournament.

In a short review:

Lahore Qalandars: most of their batting will be interesting to watch since their top order is filled with proper attacking batters. Plus they have arguably the brightest upcoming player in their roster ie Shaheen Shah.

Karachi Kings: Shahid Afridi and Mohammad Amir!!! Their game on paper looks to be bland, but as soon as these two get involved, it will become brilliant to watch. Apart from that Usman Khan is pretty good to watch as well when he is on song.

Quetta Gladiators:Will still be relying on the powerhouse of KP and Rilee Rossou and Sarfraz' clever leadership. From their foreign contingent, Archer and Rashid Khan will be good to watch. Watson might get a good inning or two as well.

Islamabad United: (My team, so might be subjected to bias) Powerhouse opening of Ronchi and Farhan.
Lower middle order is also pretty exciting with the likes of Russell, Fahim, Shadab and Amad. Plus the most exciting thing to watch from them will be their bowling(arguably the best in the PSL). Consistent, reliable and cunning. Although I still feel absence of Irfan would decrease their potency a bit.

Multan Sultans: The only exciting thing on paper looks to be their fast bowling contingent. Their batting apart from Pollard is filled with clinical players rather than explosive. Surely we might see a few blistering knocks here and there but don't think they have what it takes to become "Perth Scorchers of PSL".

Peshawar Zalmi: Probably the most exciting team of PSL 1 and 2. This year their team lacks the firepower or venom of last year. This year, they're starting as the most boring team. Apart from Sammy's charismatic personality and his flashy batting towards the end, their batting doesn't inspire much confidence. Hasan Ali will surely have his moments to entertain us once he is fit.
