Sir in case you forgot IU is not exactly the team that promotes youngsters, they even dropped Babar Azam after one game in the last PSL.

If I was a youngster in IU I would be very very happy if I even got one game.

It is mandatory to play atleast one of the two emerging players in the starting XI for every team.

I don't know if the rule of allowing one local supplementary pick to be activated is still around this season, but I hope it is still the case.

Last year, Asghar was activated from the suppl. pick and it turned out to be a fruitful one for both PZ and Pak cricket (albeit he hasn't debuted yet )

I would like to see M. Irfan, Shadab, Usama Mir and Mir Hamza get activated this time around.

Disappointed to see no Kamran Ghulam. We need a lower order hitter.

There are some youngsters in this PSL but don't know how many games they'll play. If they do play they may end up getting dropped for the big matches where there's more pressure in favour of a more experienced player. That's the problem with these T20 leagues, they're dominated by the same old paycheck brigade that we've seen a million times before.

Shadab Khan and Amad Butt are in the squad also. With Russell being banned one of them could get a chance.

Babar, Amir,and Imad are already established at international level so don't talk as if good or bad performance will mean they are dropped.

You don't get the point I'm trying to make. As I have said many times Misbah doesn't develop youngsters well or give them a chance. I have accepted that so don't talk as if I am defending him for that.

My point I'm trying to make is that Misbah isn't the only one who doesn't develop youngsters. Look at Sarfraz selection for Quetta, also Karachi selections as well. You can critizce Misbah, but I think all the other franchise except for Lahore deserve criticism.

Peshawar and Islamabad are full of oldies. They better give chances to youngsters. Karachi and Quetta are in the middle. Lahore team has a lot of youngsters so that should be exciting.

If he is, that's very disappointing. He doesn't look very young, honestly. To be fair to him however, people from Fata get wrinkles very early and look quite old even when they're not.

Also, if he deserves a spot, he should get it, regardless of his age.

It's not like he's setting the domestic system alight nor is he being spoken constantly spoken about like Mudassar.

And if at 35 he isn't the finished product, I simply don't see him playing for Pakistan.

Yeah, but I really liked him during that t/20 competition. I'm going to reserve my comments for until I've seen him in the PSL.

This lad Hasan Khan is a surprise package, very young but in couple of years will be competing with likes of Imad and Nawaz. He looks a much better and proper batman, good LA spinner and a solid temperament at this young age, bright future ahead of him.

Can't say same for LQ's Irfan Jr, he has height but needs to work hard on his fitness, runup and follow through. Not discarding him but he's not close to international level, not yet.

Never judge a spinner from T20 - the skill is in getting a batsman out, when he is trying to survive, not trying to hit a SIX. Also, though I haven't seen but have checked the scores now - in Dubai if 136 is winning total on 1st match, I think that's wicket is rubbish, & they have put boundary on maximum - on that sluggish wicket any spinner can look good.

But yes, should be a very good talent because making KK team as Leggi at 18 indicates true potential.

besides Islamabad United no other team is even thinking about the youngesters. Very disappointed with the progress of the PSL teams. Khushdil Shah, Hasan Mohsin, Saud Shakeel, Zafar Gowhar, etc
