I think one factor that PSL could add to make itself spicier is trades during the season. Options are unlimited but here is what i am thinking along the lines of...
1. Allow teams to trade up to 1 player each during the season.
2. The trade must happen before the 7th game takes place (or a cut off date which is very close to this milestone for majority of teams.
3. The trade must be for a straight 1 for 1 player only.
4. The trade must be between players of the same category or 1 up/down.
5. Pay up for the player you are acquiring (what ever the difference is).
This will no doubt spice things up as is, but also has many other benefits. Sometimes a player needs a new scenery/set up. Sometimes you have a team settled without giving certain players (usually youngsters) a true chance to play at all where another team could have used them. For example, Lahore this year had trouble with batsmen, where as quetta didnt use saud at all... they could have made a trade.
