I lost faith in PTI once IK started giving tickets to electables instead of honest people and party workers. Now every week we are seeing controversies about many of these guys involved with corruption etc. I didn't agree with PTI's foreign policy and ways to deal with Taliban and other terrorists anyway but was was of the opinion at least PTI was for justice and no corruption.
Now after 2 years of rule in KPK how do you guys think Pti has performed and do you guys still have the same belief in PTI. Will you vote for them in the local body elections.

Some people just don't understand the concept of lesser of two evils. Pakistanis have no sensible choice other then PTI for now. When Jiyalay and Nooray change their tactics, support them in anyway you can.

Was bound to happen

Bhutto did same in 1977 elections

Without exaggerating this is lame and GHISSA PITTA argument.

There are almost thousand candidates required to contest elections at all levels and only angels can sit down and work out 1000 honest, educated, ideological candidates who aren't corrupt, land grabbers, controversial and still can win elections.

I can actually go on about dynamics of elections and how biradri system etc works but just an example for you, IK conducted party elections (many electables left and some won elections on PMLN tickets), awarded tickets to youth, refused to accept many powerful yet controversial candidates and who won the elctions in Punjab in the end?

Javed Hashmi (ELECTABLE)
Shah mahmood Qureshi (ELECTABLE)
Ghulam Sarwar (ELECTABLE)
Amjad Khan (ELECTABLE)
Imran Khan (SAME CATEGORY AS ELECTABLE)
Shafqat Mahmood (Urban seat of Lahore)
Rai Hasan Nawaz (ELECTABLE)
Another one from Okara (forgot name who was also electable)

So he won 10/150 seats and 95% of them were electables, what does that tell you? In ideal world, he should award tickets to highly educated, honest and respected individuals but unfortunately it doesn't work like that in Pakistan. His other option is to forget about becoming a PM and only bring change through pressure, long marches, tehreek etc

The thing is if he really wants to bring change he can't compromise. Like the saying goes the road to hell is paved with good intentions.
Now Pti is just another Pakistani political party. With all the same people just under another name so what change will they bring and why would they bring any change as they like how the system is. the people that wanted change and needed the change have been sidelined.
And IK is becoming another Altaf Hussein with his speeches but nothing to back it up with. And pti followers are becoming like MQM followers with blind faith.
When Jibran didn't join Pti I thought he was being stupid but he was correct that Pti is just like the rest.

In KPK, it was a different game all together and guess what happened? Quite a few nobodies from poor background were awarded tickets and they won the elections defeating electables and seasoned politicians.

Sometimes people need to be practical.

As for local body elections, he will required thousands of candidates so you can only imagine how practical it is to ensure every ticket is given on merit and to right candidate.

You could also point to the 1970 elections in West Pakistan, when the PPP despite its socialist ideology had in its ranks the Noons, Gilanis and Qureshis in the Punjab and Talpurs, Jatois and Jam Sadiq Ali in Sindh. And in fact you can go even further to the 1946 election which eventually paved the way for the creation of Pakistan. Whilst ideologically denouncing the politics of local influence, and defining Pakistan in sharp counterpoint to such local politics, when it came to distributing tickets, the Muslim League was very careful to select those candidates that could wield influence in the localities even if meant passing over loyal party workers.

Honest people cannot be politicians you must be naive if in any case you believe that. All politicians lie whether they are good or bad.

3 years down the line establishment's installed Lotaaz/NAB zaadaas, electables influx has increased 100 folds.

Just look at Babar Awan for instance. Apparently he was given the option to face NAB for his alleged involvement in NandiPur disaster or join PTI with a clean slate and today everyone can see what he utters infront of media to brainwash 18-28 youth of Pakistan.

But,

Although PTI has not fulfilled it's promises wrt many sectors in KPK but there overall performance is better than ANP and MMA and indeed in some sectors they have delivered very well.

On National level PTI has been a disaster indeed with Imran Khan's lies and hypocrisy on the orders and instructions of Political wing of ISI. He has towed the line of anti democratic forces and has not missed a single oppurtunity to destabilise democratically elected civilian government. In the process Pakistan has suffered espeviallt in last 15 months.

Here is Imran Khan's confession. He has himself abandoned PTI's ideology and manifesto which is indeed a shame.

Aye aye PTI; rok sakta ho tho rok lo :p

I was very much interested in PTI around 2013 time but the fact is that they have lost a lot of credibility due to their links with electables and also rumours of establishment support.

Any party which relies on electables and establishment backing cannot be taken seriously if they are to campaign for a corruption free Pakistan.

Sad to see PTI lost its way and turn into another PPP, PML-N.

The only difference being PTI Chairman and Vice Chairman are not accused of any corruption like PPP, PMLQ, PMLN, MQM, ANP, JUIF and other parties.

I don’t doubt his financial honesty, but why is he running from his case for four years? Why is it still pending? Shouldn’t he clear his name first before pointing fingers at others?

He spent a year in the SC and was forced to account for each and every penny going back nearly 40 years and you care more for a nondescript case. If it was important Hanif EPHEDRINE would have used the evidence in court. And it shows the greatness of the man that he did it without complaining because thats we expect from our leaders.
In contrast, we have guys like you supporting Showbiz who along with his coterie of crooks stole 400 crore from the poorest people needing clean water, and his answer was some conspiracy theory, and whats worse you cant bring yourself to comment on it. Are happy to vote for Showbiz after he stole 400 crore from the poorest in PK?
