Court ordered govt to have session at 10:30, pti decided to use that time, the past 10 hours in doing speeches and are delaying the NCM.

The govt has taken parkiament as hostage.

Speaker said voting will happen after 8 pm after break. Now parliament is in recess and might start after 10 or 11, god knows when...

Never seen such scenes in a politcal govt.

Contempt of court seems possible with imran going to jail.

PTI doesnt want to leave govt it looks like and are negotiating deals with opposition that no NAB cases are held against them

These jahils have ruined and continue to ruin our govt and country.

When UK was in world war, they srill had their elections, and there is this imran khan who is desperate to hold power
 
Yeah government behavior is disgusting it's no big deal. India has had 20+ no confidence motions. Worst case you sit in the opposition and current situation is not bad to be sitting in the opposition benches. I don't think Imran is even in the parliament. Shame on him if that is true and he is certainly a very poor loser.

Amid speculations regarding Prime Minister Imran Khan’s action plan of not letting the voting on the no-confidence motion happen on Saturday, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry Saturday said that "those who bought MPs will be responsible if martial law is imposed."

In an informal conversation with journalists inside the Parliament House, Fawad said that Supreme Court is “not above” the Parliament, adding that the "T20 match is still left to be played."

He said: “We do respect the orders of the Supreme Court and will also let the Opposition fulfil their wish to vote on the no-confidence motion.”

Replying to a question regarding when will the voting be held, the information minister said that there are a lot of speeches left to be delivered, adding that “my speech is left.”

'Not responsibility of SC, army to resolve politicians' issues'
He further added that all parties and individuals should follow the Constitution of Pakistan, reiterating that the government wants to hold fresh elections.

Fawad told journalists that he spoke to the Opposition leaders, suggesting that all political parties should unitedly move towards elections.

“Leaders of all political parties are mentally prepared for the elections,” he said, adding that everybody should sit together and chalk out a solution as it is not the responsibility of the army and Supreme Court to resolve the issues of the politicians.

'ECP commissioner should resign'
Regarding the Election Commission of Pakistan’s (ECP) statement on the time required to hold elections, the information minister said that the only task of the commission is to hold elections.

“If the ECP cannot hold elections then the reason is sufficient enough for the election commissioner to tender his resignation,” he said, adding that the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) is not yet ready to allow overseas Pakistanis to cast their votes.

The Opposition stands in protest during PTI’s Hammad Azhar's speech and chant "voting, voting". The vote of no-confidence to oust Khan is to happen today, April 9, as per court orders.

This is part of the parliamentary procedure. If you want the vote of no confidence then sit tight and let parliament work.
 
They are delaying the inevitable. Didn't expect someone to be THIS desperate for power.
 
The National Assembly session to decide the fate of Prime Minister Imran Khan via voting on a no-confidence motion against him has been adjourned yet again and is now expected to resume at 9:30pm after Isha prayers.

The latest adjournment was the fourth of the day as opposition's clamour for immediate voting throughout the day have fallen on deaf ears.

Where were these speeches 3.5 years ago?

Delaying this and using tax payer money to fund all this. Those acs that are operating their, we are paying for it not you

You care about PPP obtaining ministries.

Filibustering is a common parliamentary tactic. Do you only want parliament to operate under the rules that suit you?

Every PTI member should give a speech. Just to stick it to PDM and their supporters before PTI govt goes.

Filibustering only happens in seneate to block legislation.

This is not a legislation debate going on.

This is a ncm to see if the awaam hasnt lost trust in pm than let him continue and if they have lost their trust in him than kick him out..

Awam is not involved. Awam elected PTI candidates who jumped ship. You guys are not comfortable taking it to the awam so dont invoke them here.

The PTI leaders making speeches are elected by their constituents. Who are you to deny them this right?

I hope you are aware awaam elected opposing mnas in majority. Even without pti mnas the opposition is in majority..

The ncm is as per awaam if he loses he loses awaams confidence as mna vote as per awaam

Yea this is politics. Reading history around the world not only just of Pakistan tells you how this whole democracy system works.

Not sure what PDM is worried about. Day is still on and so is the session. NVC is on the way and will happen now, tomorrow or later.

Although I do think it sets a bad precedence from PTI if they are delaying this without having a card in their hand to play.

All I can say just be patient and see how things enroll from there now.

They might have another plan, something to do with no confidence motion expiring after 7 days, at midnight…. They are also trying to bait the opposition to start screaming so they can adjourn the session.

It is not in interest of PDM fans to move their heads somewhere else than NVC. Yes, even if it means being cool with a murderer in the Parliament.

This is correct. And that's why PTI will lose the next elections as well based on their performance in the last four years.

The awaam did not ask MNAs to switch sides did they? How could they? What mechanism would they have to do that?

There is a clear order on NCM from SC. If it expires, SC will intervene. These are foolish attempts.

How we are sure that people voted for those MNAs only because they were with PTI, an obligation failing to do which, people will stop voting for them?

Can those MNAs have influence on the people outside the PTI domain?

If we count all the opposition mnas, they are in majority. Thus, this is based on awaams vote

Is their a limit on how long they can talk per the court order? The order says they cant discuss anything else besides from the NCM. OK well they are not technically violating that. Maybe the plan is to keep on talking until the SC says you cant talk anymore.

And stick it to PDM supporters. For instance a gem I read on social media.

It will go back to Supreme Court , they will call for elections as this time the kangaroo judges will have no choice but to discuss the Cable .

Even now corrupt people are still shaking . They will continue to shake for the rest of their pathetic lives .

Speeches were not possible for 3.5 years as the opposition would keep screaming and shouting each time govt tried to say anything, today is the only day they are behaving themselves and we all know why that is.

Not a bad strategy. Maybe a PTI member can read Pakistan: A Personal History by Imran Khan and the opposition leaves out of frustration, and then do the NCM.
