Well, Stokes won this for England, if luck went slightly the other way Neesham would have won it for NZ. Few days ago Jadeja nearly pulled off a heist. In previous editions as well Faulkner, Yuvraj, Dhone (WK is an AR remember), Gilchrist, Imran, Aravinda, Waugh and Mohinder have proved to be the trump cards.
England's victory may not be the cleanest, but it has again proved that their brand of cricket that is dependent on the ARs till #10,can produce titles.
Specialists like Babar, Kohli, Rohit, Smith, Roy or Boult, Amir, Starc, Rabada can only do so much. I think you need performing all-rounders to take you over the line. Its different to test cricket where specialists still rule the roost.
Henceforth I'll always consider inclusion of all-rounders a positive approach by the selectors. 2 ARs + A wicket keeper who has top order batsman stats are a must in today's world.
