do you guys agree? forget the fact that few of the pitches were made awful or the rain or something else.
Just the quality of cricket, suspenseful/close matches and entertainment for the fans watching PSL. As a bonus, youngsters are performing well despite limited opportunities.

So far:

Positives:
Young talent
High scoring games
Low scoring games
Thrillers
Great catches
Passionate players
Charity work/community service
Crowds in Sharjah
All-around entertainment

Negatives:
Fixing
Crowds in Dubai

It has been a great PSL. The positives outweigh the negatives and I am looking forward to more entertainment.

It's been excellent in Sharjah

they should do all matches in Sharjah, Dubai stadium is not ideal.
Or they could spend just a little bit of more money in Dubai and make a new scheme for the fans that if you buy ticket you get free transport, a bus will pick up those who don't have a car and bring them to the stadium.

Not enough young batsmen and pacers. We need to kick out the TTFs.
I'd blame the captains and coaches.
Khushdil, Talat, Mohsin, Mir Hamza, Noor Wali, Mudassir, Usman, Badar, Zafar are yet to play a game.
even the likes of Asghar are not making the line ups these days.
all youngsters are performing, they would have performed as well.

PSL 2017 has been phenomenal.

If only Islamabad could rejuvenate their squad and give youngsters more of a go it would make the league almost perfect.

why?
this time around the matches have been more suspenseful and entertaining so far, than the last season combined.

Islamabad has been boring to watch and I don't look forward to their matches. Karachi have clearly lacked some intent and passion while in general the Pakistani batsmen have failed compared to last time out. I feel like there is more reasons but I can't exactly put my finger on it, good to know others are enjoying it though.

Its been a great tournament so far. Just watching it as a pure cricket fan its been a well fought close contest. I personally loved todays match. It was one of the best displays of twenty20 cricket I have seen for a while.

My only complaint is the lack of youngsters. We need a mix of experience with youth. This tournament is supposed to be for growing talent. Not just entertaining the crowd with noticable faces. In the next PSL I hope we see more emerging talent be displayed. Aim should be to target emerging batsmen so they can learn from former greats how to build an innings.

Idk what you expect from these Mickey Mouse leagues. There isn't much to play for. A PSL title isn't anything special. So please stop disrespecting these teams and their players.

I expect what Quetta is doing, play with passion

Quetta is over-hyped. They are the actual "Friends XI" with the likes of Anwar, Gul, Asad and Zulfi.
Sarfraz dropped Asad, dropped Gul, and you still call it friends XI?! what's next call them Lucky XI because they're winning and at the top of the table again this season, and they will lose every game soon?!
Give credit where it's due, Sarfraz is the best captain in the PSL no matter what.

It would be better if a single new batsman was discovered during the tournament. The well is completely dry.

Fakhar is most likely to get selected now. Soon we will hopefully see Khushdil, Mohsin and Talat, I wish they all perform. Islu are not giving enough batting chances to Shadab he can bat as well.

The teams are also very close in the tables as well. That is an added benefit. Last year LQ was floundering like no tomorrow and were everybody's whipping boy.

Yep, very close. Interesting to see how this all pans out now that some international cricketers are leaving for national duty. Islamabad United for example lose Billings, Duckett and Finn. 3 really good players.

Not Duckett, he isn't in the ODI squad for WI.

Morgan and Roy are the biggest losses

its been highly entertaining, fantastic success aside from the stupidity of a couple of guys

what's concerning is that not much young Pakistani talent is coming out other than spinners

i think one way to fix that is to add a franchise, give more people a go... to much talent has been left out

I never said he wasn't.

I want to see the big cities win though. Karachi and Lahore on top. Quetta and Peshawar on bottom. That's how it should be.

do you have any idea how supremacist you sound?
If that's how you feel I feel sorry for you.
Quetta are the most hard working bunch and deserve to win and deserve their top spot.

Not sure who told you Quetta is more hard working. Just because they are a small city doesn't mean they are more hard working.

I have and all of their wins are solely because of foreign players batting.

yes, and Hassaan did not bowl the last over of that thrilling first match, hassaan was not the best bowler in that 200 game recently, Sarfraz did not score those 2 excellent innings and led from the front, etc etc

either you have not watched those games or you have short term memory loss

The PSL is on fire! Three amazing matches back to back, some very exciting and entertaining cricket. My concern though is whether the intensity will remain once after today the matches are moved out of Sharjah - where the crowds too have been coming in maybe not extraordinary but pretty good numbers.

A question, although I pray that the entertainment remains the same even in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, but what really is the harm in it if in the future all or even more than 75% of the matches are hosted in Sharjah? You get the entertainment there, you attract crowds, what more do you want?

Regarding yesterday´s match, a great example really that it´s never over till it´s over. Myself and my brother maintained it throughout, even when wickets were falling like a house of cards, that anything, anything can happen until Afridi and Sammy aren´t dismissed. Also, very casually I remarked when he walked in to bat, that "Afridi challeyga ajj", although it´s in the best interest of us all if I don´t disclose the theory behind myself saying this. :najam

Now I am curious. :afridi

In Title, Substitute QUALITY by COMPETITION.

These are some very highly competitive matches but not sure about High quality though.

KP's innings was masterclass, both of the Sarfraz's and Rossouw's match winning innings as well.

There have been exciting matches but PSL will not be high quality until more international high quality bowlers participate. Currently, the only international bowler I have seen used is a past his prime Narine.

Most team are using 4 international batsmen to fill the given quota, leaving limited room for domestic batsmen in the team. The batsmen that are making through don't really face a new challenge as they are facing the same bowlers they face in domestic cricket with similar pitch conditions.

Dubai was rubbish, but Sharjah has been very good. Nonetheless, the spot-fixing scandal has the marred this season and it is the biggest talking point from this edition.

Overall, if I take my green-tinted glasses off, PSL is quite mediocre in terms of quality of cricket, quality of cricketers, coverage etc. A fair reflection of the mediocrity that is Pakistan cricket at the moment.

Mediocre cricket nation = mediocre league.

i thought you have decided you won,t watch PSL this year as you were saying :uakmal:afridi

Yah its better this time around.

A few mediocre players though

Rafatullah
Imran khalid
zohaib khan
asif ali

They need to replace those with better quality.

Fantastic season, and will be even better if the final in Lahore plays out smoothly iA.

Fixing was a big negative but a lot of people have forgotten about it already which is good.

Yes will be better with freaking players like mugel cummins, rohan kahnai, jevan mendis playing final in lahore , who wants to saw them, even their family members donot gave them salan for second time, Sharjah>Lahore

Agreed. It was about time Pakistan made Sarfaraz the national team captain. He's always 100% committed to the game and passionate and is also extremely good at motivating youngsters. Even on the stump mic you can see how supportive he is of his young bowlers and he's batting better with that responsibility on his shoulders.

most of the unknown/less known Pakistani players have performed in this tournament.
too bad that we didn't see many of them as teams opted for tried and tested players over newcomers.

I hope we see more new players in coming years. Like Ali Khan who i hope regains is form and play in PSL. Amazing hitter!

Cant say about others but i really feel happy when unknown Pakistani players perform against international stars. PSL have give a platform to these players otherwise they might ruin in domestic :(
