First of all I was probably like everyone else on this forum excited when inzamam Ul Haq was made chairman of selectors.

However questions must be asked about his selections especially for test matches

1) Junaid Khan has 50 wickets in the uae but was not considered for section?

2) Saad ali top scored in domestic cricket last year and did not play a single match in England so why was he dropped?

3) Harris Sohail has not played domestic cricket in a long time but some how he always gets selected and has not set the world alite so why is he part of the squad ?

4) Bilal asif domestic record as a bowler is terrible so why has been selected when someone like Kashif Bhatti has 89 wickets in 16 matches ?

5) shadab Khan has not performed at domestic level and Safraz admitted he was injured in the Asia cup , so why is apart the test squad ?

The rest of the squad toubcan argue with for example Babar Azam etc but maybe picking him on potential.

When are we going to pick players on merit and not on favouritism ? Ok we are going to fix our domestic structure Whitch we badly need to but unless we fix favouritism our cricket is not going to move forward or improve

And I am sure they have good answers for all of those questions!

At the end of the day, these are all judgement calls and there is no need to assume that they are deliberately taking wrong decisions.

One could just as well ask why Fakhar was persisted when we had Shan Masood there too

I believe there is clear favouritism taking place , it’s obvious and saad ali being dropped without playing a game is criminal

I think misjudgment is possibly the right word.

Ok you can misjudge against Sri Lanka I understand , but too make same mistakes again for this squad , there are no excuses

There is no squad in the world which can satisfy everyone. But for a 2 test series, a normal human being would pick 14 players max (not 17).

Inzi’s selection shows that he doesnt know what he is doing.
