QG should drop Nawaz for Asghar and play Saud/Danish ahead of Shehzad.
QG should drop Nawaz for Asghar and play Saud/Danish ahead of Shehzad.
Saud might play, but will be batting at 6 or 7.
QG have said if he plays he will be in top three. That is why they have struggled to fit him in atm (although they rejigged their batting order for Shehzad last game so by rights Saud should have played last game).
The side that wins the toss should be winning the game. Hate this trend.
Quetta and Peshawar are the worst sides for the younger ones. They always prefer 30+ players or the more established ones.
The only youngsters playing are the ones enforced by the PCB with the emerging rule.
Feel bad for the new guys selected by these franchises.
If Shehzad can play in the middle order why not specialist middle order batsman Saud Shakeel.
However, for the people saying that now QG and PZ should try new faces need to realize that they are franchises and their main aim is to remain in top 2 so that they can play qualifier 1 and get two opportunities to get to the final.
Nabi gul and saud shakeel have been there for 2 years but still hasn't got a game yet. But, sarfraz is an honest guy.
Friend nawaz getting slapped as usual.
It's about strategy and policy.
While Islamabad United won 2 prizes with a lot of youngsters doing well Quetta/PZ have been successful with retired players(experienced).
It's something that has worked for them and they will continue this way.
Yes, its hard for nabi gul to average more then kamran this year and even harder for saud to play at a strike rate of 75 and will struggle to average around 10. I don't buy this.
I am sure you would have said the same when husnain was warming the bench for ghulam and yes shehzad is better then saud. No one is asking the franchise to select a guy of the street and play him. If they think the ones on the bench can't make the team then don't select them. Rubbish logic.
Hasnain pace?
Hasnain pace?

If you read my previous posts I was one of the early ones who said that Hasnain should play as he would add much needed variety to QG bowling attack.
With the same logic I feel Saud could have been better than Shehzad in the middle especially now when Shehzad has been given few oppurtunities and he was unable to take them.
You select 20 players who you think are good enough but you don’t necessarily play all of them if your combination is working.
Yes and it will remain like that for these franchises till these TTF's quit or those others become a big name in domestic cricket.
Youngsters should avoid PZ/Quetta if they want to get fast tracked into the Pakistani A team or main team. But yea most of these guys do not have any say or the financial side is too lucrative.
is shehzad working?

What? If you meant performing then he definitely isnt till now and that is why I think Saud deserved a go especially when its the middle order spot we are talking about.
I think there is a hidden claw for not selecting any young emerging batsman by any of the franchise. It may be there might be an agreement from senior batsmen and the franchises for not selecting them. Our politics is really worse and no fare game.
Thank you. Then don't preach us about "they are franchises and their main aim is to remain in top 2". Shehzad is clearly not helping them since you have said he's not performing.
First time watching Hasnain bowl and I'm no expert but there's something with his arm that looks a bit dodgy to me.
Exactly my suggestion is solely based upon the fact he isn’t performing for his team. Franchises are also interested in winning, so they wont change players for the sake of it however in Shehzad’s I case I think it would have been better for franchise as well to have a proper middle order bastman instead of him.
Thank you for admitting you was wrong. Shehzad is not helping them winning it, he averaged around 10 last year with 88 strike rate and is still getting picked.
Dude! When did I say Shehzad should play? Re read my posts.![]()
Lol. You said he shouldn't play but then you went to to say "they are franchises and their main aim is to remain in top 2" so they won't try new faces aren't you contradicting yourself.
Sorry for confusion. As my were first post here said, I believe Saud should have been playing over Shehzad.
The next paragraph starting with however was for other players who are performing decently that they shouldn’t be replaced just to try new faces.
Umpire is having a shocker. What's his name again?
Anyone have speeds for each delivery bowled by hasnain today?
It is as clear as it gets if you see in slow mo. One of the poster said the same thing about Rauf as well however his action in also really clean. If you ball at a pace of 145 kph above, that fast arm action can create number of illusions.
There got to be something but people here tell me they want to got with the tested team so they prefer shehzad 5(11) balls in t20.
There should an investigation about these franchise coaches why none of them select any emerging young batsman in the tournament.
Then how is shehzad, misbah etc going to find a place.
There might be a hidden deal between these selfish seniors with these coaches not to select any young batsman so there place will be safe for both in PSL and international matches.
Why don't they play Saud instead of this **** Ahsan and Shehzad
141 kph from Sameen
Previous ball 144.
Amin demoted AGAIN!
He has done absolute ZILCH since his 61 in the first game. Deserves not only demotion but dropping as well
Previous ball 144.
I dont think its the right move to push umar akmal to no 5 in the lower order.
The guy was batting so well in the middle order and was the highest run getter for his team and for no reason he is pushed down to the lower order.
Batting in the lower order is a different art and we have allready made that mistake by playing umar akmal in the lower order in his career. Umar akmal himself has always said that he wants to bat at no 4 in the middle order, because he feels that he can build his innings and then change gears when set.
Playing in the lower order is a different game yaar and I really feel that quetta made a big big mistake. If umar akmal loses his form by this stupid move, it ll be even worse!!
Such a selfish knock from Shehzad.
