We must always add 250-300 wickets to wasim’s tally to account for dropped catches.

:14: Good job!

Till his 30th birthday, Rangana Herath had only played 12 test matches and taken 80 wickets.

Imagine, if he had played consistently since his debut in 1999 and had performed at the same level... :amir3

Well deserved..honest cricketer; but was ineffective vs Indian batsman like Muralitharan.

Always done well vs BD, Pak teams in Tests.

Lol you cant add anything but as far as dropped were concerned 75 at max which is still a huge number

And it's not like Herath has had every catch taken either.

Would have had 900 if a cheat hadn’t kept him out of the team

Great stuff!

Not as skillful as some of the other great spinners I've been lucky enough to watch but so consistent and his change of pace is really underrated.

If anyone is teaching a young spinner and talking about pace, show him video of Herath.

Never look like a threatening bowler in naked eyes to me but heck he has 415 test scalps!that's a huge number

Most players would have think about retirement or blatantly gives up when they are continuously kept away from national side till their 30's but here its a diff story altogether

What a champion character he is,a true inspiration to the world and kudos

Any spinner who can play 100 tests can reach 500 wickets at least.

Well done Herath

Doubt his dropped catch tally would be anywhere near Wasim's.

Congrats to everybody's favourite rotund bowler. Huge achievement. Can't believe he has taken a whopping 415 wickets.

Great bowler, could have reached 600+ wickets had his early career not been limited. Still can reach to 500.

Well done to the champ. A gentleman who showed us all the values of application and persistence.

Always easy for a spinner to get more wickets esp in tbe subcontinent. Herath is a good bowler but no where close to the legendary Wasim Akram.

What a bowler Wasim was!! Just brings back the memories of the 90s thinking about him.

Great bowler, he has won many series single-handedly, I remember watching the AUS vs SL series, Herath really did some magic even though he was bowling to non-subcontinental batsman he just blew me away. And just watching him bowl blew me away, his action was like magic, so simple but still effective.

Probably one of the most frustrating bowlers to face. Still remember how he took 9 wickets against Pak. Always gets us

Its 2018 and Rangana Herath is still producing the goods.

What would SL do without him ?

Greatest left arm spinner in tests.

The fact that he had so little support and still has been so brilliant tells you how good he is.
