Dale Steyn (9/10)
Leader of the pack. Best fast bowler of this generation. The number of times he clean bowled / lbw top batsman speaks for his ability.

James Anderson (8.5/10)
England legend. Superfit and most athletic of the lot. Can bowl natural inswing and outswing (no one else can bowl the natural banana swing both ways as he does)

Stuart Broad (7.5/10)
Tremendous long career. Lethal to left handers. Different bowler when pitches up. Lower than Anderson and large part of his 500 wickets is also due to bowling in partnership with Anderson.

Mohammad Amir (6.5/10)
Never achieved what he could have, will go down as another Pakistani pacer who underachieved. I gave 6.5 because he bowled spells that mattered in important games (CT17, WT20 2009, etc).

Trent Boult (8/10)
Highly underrated cricketer. Best NZ seamer ever (better than Hadlee). People will realise how good he was once he retires.

Mitchell Starc (8.5/10)
Best limited overs bowler at present. Big match, gun player. World cup winner. Lethal inswinging yorkers.

Mohammad Shami (7.5/10)
Great find for India. Certainly overachieved in career due to incredible persistence in bowling. Will not go down as a legend for India unless he plays for another 3/4 years which I doubt he would.

Josh Hazelwood (7.5/10)
Potential to end with a better rating. Bowls the uneasy lengths. He has what it takes to go down as a great test bowler.

Dale Steyn 10

Stuart Broad 8
Mohammad Amir 6
Trent Boult 8
Mitchell Starc 8

yea? he is better than all 3.duh. what have those 3 achieved in sub continent? Jack sh*t.
What has Shami done outside of Asia? He’s got a decent record in SA and that’s about it- still averages 30+ in Aus after feasting on the weakest batting lineup we’ve fielded since the 80’s last tour. Averages 36 in NZ and 47 in England.

In comparison Hazlewood averages 33 in both India and SL after only one tour to both countries. Which is fairly respectable.

no it isn't. what about hazelwood not facing his own team mate who is the GOAT level player. He also doesn't have to face the biggest bounce flat track bully aka warnee?

hazelwood is mediocre in sub continent just as shami has been in n.z and England. They are both almost the same but shami is the better bowler overall due to his ability to rip through teams in the second innings. Shami also plays far more games overall in odi and t20. His workload is a lot higher and hmyet he manages to average around the same as hazelwood.

hazelwood is the biggest fraud out there. I bet he will make some excuses again to quit the difficult india away tour again.

starc is an overrated trash who averages 50 plus in india and probably in u.a.e too.

Shami's average has been hurt in Australia by playing his first tour on those flat dead wickets of 2014 tour where Johnson, Harris and Hazelwood also averaged 35 and Shami averaged same but he was by far India's best bowler in that series.

In context, it was a very good performance by him in that series.

Thread would have been better without two bolds. In this list, their spot is pretty much fixed.
