Salman Butt and Mohammad Asif not selected in the PSL 3 draft

I think the PCB and the selectors have pretty much made it clear to these two that they are never going to play for Pakistan ever again. Last season these 2 not being picked could be understood because they didn't have enough match practice under their belt but this time, they have played a decent amount of games in Domestic Cricket and both have done well enough to atleast be picked in the draft but they were ignored yet again by the PCB and no Franchise is lobbying for their inclusion either so it is pretty clear these 2 are done for now.

I'm not sure if you can completely disregard them from the team just yet, but also being unsold isn't a good enough proof that either. You have some tremendously talented players avaliable but did purchase and on the other hand you have experience players that aren't to good at T20 cricket avaliable which also went unsold. I personally hope they continue to be left out of the Pakistan team for the future

These two aren't popular with the average fan. Especially Butt. Why would a franchise want to risk their image by associating themselves with them? The non selection of Butt also shows that the Akmals have little influence in PSL because where ever they can they invite their buddy Butt along them.

Butt not good enough for 20/20 I would have Asif & Butt in the test team over the dreadfull Masood anyday.

Both passed their best and not required anymore... those who miss them can watch past youtube videos. Asif would have been a 400 wicket bowler if he had a brain.

So want to see asif make the ball talk..was a bowler and a half..he was best a setting up batsmen.

There will be no other like him..
Mohammad Abbas gets close to him with a beautifil repetitive action and he'll get wickets in england..mark my words.

But yeah i miss the way asif could have me glued to the tv..
