Professor Seyed Mohammad Marandi is a professor of English and Oriental Studies in Tehran University in Iran.
By his brave telecasts he has become the voice not only of the brave and indomitable Iranians who are refusing to submit to the barbaric, villainous, and savage sneak attack launched on them by US and Israeli forces, he has also become the spokesman of the entire underdeveloped countries, who have been oppressed, looted, and kept subjugated by the developed countries for long.
Prof. Marandi’s own life is in danger, for the Americans and Israelis must be trying to somehow silence the voice of the person who speaks out undauntedly and fearlessly against the illegal, unjustified, and murderous unprovoked war launched against his country.
Prof.Marandi has said that Iran will not accept a ceasefire unless America and its protege Israel (1) give firm assurances that they will never launch such an attack against Iran again (2) give compensation for all the damage they have done to lives and property.
He has explained why the US-Israeli intent of a quick victory has not materialized, instead it has become a quagmire and a war of attrition ( like the Vietnam war ), as Americans have bitten more than they can chew.
He has said that people of Iran are united, and their will has not been broken despite the murderous bombs raining down on them, the killing of Ayatollah Khameini and many senior officials, of 165 Iranian schoolgirls, and bombing of hospitals, radio stations, etc. By simply refusing to surrender Iran is sure to win.
Many Americans have expressed the same view.
In my opinion, as stated earlier, Prof. Marandi has become the voice of not only the Iranians, but also of people in all underdeveloped countries in the world.
This world really consists of two worlds : (1) the world of the developed, highly industrialized countries like in North America, Europe, Japan, Australia and China, and (2) the world of the underdeveloped countries like countries of Asia ( except China and Japan ), Africa, and Latin America.
The objective of the underdeveloped countries must be to transform themselves into highly developed and industrialized countries, for only then can they abolish the great evils of massive poverty, unemployment, malnourishment, lack of healthcare, good education for the masses and so forth. The 21st century will therefore be characterized as the century in which this great historical transformation takes place in the underdeveloped world.
However, the developed countries will oppose tooth and nail the transformation of underdeveloped countries into developed ones, for the reason given in the article below.
I had earlier thought that India will be giving the leadership to the underdeveloped countries in this historical struggle.
But now it seems to me that it is Iran which will be giving this leadership. While India has unfortunately aligned itself with America, the Iranians, by their heroic and valiant fight back against the brutal and ferocious forces unleashed against them by America and its ally Israel, have proved that they have the honor of being the true leaders of the underdeveloped world.
Hence Prof. Marandi, while becoming the voice of Iran, has also become the voice of the entire undeveloped countries.
