Should PCT prioritize a specialist spinner over the "versatility" of Shadab Khan

Pakistan will win more games with a proper, specialist spinner than with a part‑time one — unless Shadab is genuinely contributing with ball and bat.

Right now, Shadab Khan is not doing that, while Usman Tariq is capable of what a frontline spinner is supposed to do.

Is the Team management keen for Pakistan to win?

Shadab is not needed.

Pakistan already have Abrar, Saim, and M Nawaz. There are Sufiyan and Usman Tariq on the bench also.

Sheddy should play but need to understand his role. If he is a batting all rounder then he plays and we can drop Babar and bring in someone else.

As a bowling all rounder then yeah it's tough to slot him in. Especially if he is slotted in after Nawaz.

I think Pakistan don't need Salam Mirza to play , they are going to play in Lankan conditions so can play Faheem as an second Pacer Along with Shaheen.

I'm this case they can play a pure spinner usman Tariq so batting depth remains same.

Personally I like him but he's probably the most halwa spinner in international circuit.

Tariq, Faisal Akram, & Sufyan offer more with the ball without any doubt. The batting for Shadab just hasn't proceeded to the next level and he's not better than Hassan Nawaz. He's there for the balance but being below average in both just doesn't add anything to the team.

Then the team is also trying to fit in Babar, Fakhar, Agha, & Usman and when we consider all of that, that cannot happen.

I know he didn't fire today but Shadab's batting is definitely a plus. He might even have the highest batting strike-rate in the team. Bowling is definitely a plus for the opposition but I guess they are hoping that he can be more effective as a part of the spin-attack where the bowling is more centred around Abrar, Nawaz and Saim.

I hope in the big matches in WT20. Hesson actually plays both Abrar and Tariq. Provided conditions continue to assist the spinners.

Not playing Tariq here much could be strategy. As he has a mystery about him with his bowling and pause in it. He'll trouble lots of batters who'll be playing him the very first time.

Shadab’s selection has IU connection. Hesson made him VC as soon as he joined the team.

One of Babar Fakhar needs to be dropped for Hassan Nawaz.

Though Saim has pulled above his weight as a bowler, I am still not comfortable in him opening the bowling on a regular basis. We need proper bowlers
