Should cricket matches be shortened beforehand if weather reports aren't promising?

I think there needs to be some rule changes in cricket with regards to rain .

If you know there will be rain during the day, than why not shorten the game before hand to get a result.

Like we have a T20 game from 2 till 5, and there is expected rain between 3:30 till 6:00, meaning that the minimum 6 overs of the team wont be bowled, than why not just have 10 vs 10 overs match before hand to get a result in place?

Yes correct if you no thiers going to be raised why not shorten the match and try and get a result!

If the weather predictions are wrong, you will end up with a shortened game for no reason.

That is why the current system is fine. If it doesn’t rain, you get a full game; if it rains, you use D/L.

Beauty of cricket is the weather bit.
