I know back in late 90s 8er and 10ers used to be a thing in exhibition games. Owing to the dearth of power hitters in Pakistan, and recent big hits over 100m in this PSL, should there be some added incentive for sixes to encourage batters to try and hit even bigger?
Like an 8er if it goes to 1st tier, 7er for 2nd tier, 8er for 3rd tier and 10 runs if it goes out of the ground?
T20 has been about innovations, should a rule like this be tried in our own PSL?
Supersub was another rule which was introduced around 2005 but quickly dropped due to its complexities and reluctance. But a use of more runs for bigger hits could be attractive in atleast franchise cricket?
What are your opinions?
