Should Rishabh Pant and KL Rahul both play at 5 and 6 for India in Test cricket?

Moving forward do we apply the same template and have pant and then followed by Rahul at 6 in tests?

He seems to have turned things around. I still don’t trust him fully as he still seems to be of a mental midget based of his interview recently where he said he pooped his pants.

But given how talented he is maybe he will have a late career surge?

Test cricket is the ultimate test. Real cricket

India will prioritise tests first apart from World Cup events.

We need a proper AR at 7 and 8 too

We have options like yudhvir/Shardul at 8

Yudhvir is very good.

7 we currently have Nitish. But pandya doesn’t want to play test cricket.

Do we have any potential number 7 AR to fill in that role that isn’t a spinner?
For soon AR we have no issue as axar jaddu sundar all can do the role.

I am forgetting some pace ARs probably but I am sure there is someone that I am missing at 7

If not we need to find one asap

Rahul at 6 does give depth. I don’t recall him playing much at 6. If he demonstrates the same mental strength he showed in champions trophy he can be our number 6 for the next few years

In Australia tour, he opened the batting. Rohit is no longer good enough for Test cricket, must be dropped.

I am thinking jurel
Jurel is damn good in tests
Can play bounce and spin

Him not playing along with shami and axar is why we lost kiwis at home in the test series
