Should T20 leagues have an "Associate" quota?

Like one player has to be from a non-FM team. A lot of people would say that it would dilute the quality of the league but I don't think so because in those leagues, there are so many foreign players who are not good enough but continue to get picked because they are from Australia or England. So isn't it better if the spot is used for a player from one of the less developed cricket nations so that it would give them the experience of sharing the dressing rooms with star players and coaches?

I can't think of a reason why any t20 league needs to do random associate players a favour or why it'd make the league more appealing.

When Aussies/English players come over for PSL or BPL it's a plus even if they're terrible.

If a player is good enough and the franchise can afford him, he will get picked. It is as simple as that. It dosen't matter which country he is from. Rashid Khan, Mohammed Nabi, Mustafiz and Lamichane are among most sort after T20 players.

Bad idea. Its the ICC that should do more to provide opportunities for associate nations so that the game can grow a little.

No, players need to be good if they want to be picked.

PSL, IPL, BBL, CPL etc. are not obligated to do anything like this, and nobody can force them into doing so. ICC has no jurisdiction over these T20 leagues.

Reservation in cricket?
That would benefit one associate player but not the associate team. So no point really to have a quota
