Heard a lot about tabish khan as well, let's see how he goes.

Perhaps I am harsh on Gul, but Ahmed Jamal is at least putting in wicket taking areas. Just outside off stump looking for movement. Gul is off to middle and no movement.
 
Ahmed Jamal also has good height for a fast bowler, dont know why he has got such bad domestic stats
 
Gul is garbage.

Domestic trundlers are better than him.
 
Amed Jamal has bowled well so far . overs 4 - 2 - 5 - 1 wicket
 
Gul defo isn't good enough anymore. We have to keep searching for better bowlers period.
 
I am not sure if there is any role of Fawad Alam to send Asad Shafiq before him. If as a captain he has then I appreciate that given that he is his direct rival for World Cup spot.
 
Shafiq scoring runs here = great form and selected for the wc

And then to fail in international cricket and they repeat this again

You can bring back malik, kamran or even razaaq

But please no shafiq, he doesn't even deserve a spot

Shafiq and YK are definition of mediocrity against half a decent pacer. They pile up runs against spin but later to be owned by good fast bowling in the international cricket. Pakistan needs good batsmen of fast bowling in NZ/Aus not spin.
 
:))) :))) Sohail Tanvir what a joke of a fielder. Dropped not only a catch but conceded a six. Umar Amin must be angry.
 
And some people think hes the best all rounder in Pakistan :))

Squad will be announced on 7th and selectors will discuss it on 4th and finalise the squad

who cares Fifty means fifty its just a formality , but for Fawad it should be 100 in 40 balls then only selectors will be impressed
 
Embarrassing to see TTFs like Faisal & Khalid playing for Sindh, both have zero chance of playing for Pakistan again
I'd rather see Saad Ali, Saud Shakeel & Fazal Subhan playing.

are they really that dum ? sometime I think..? But then you are right they just do not care otherwise their selections would have been not like these..
 
why isn't the little master been able to play Ahmed Jamal in the same way ? thats saying something. I mean Ahmed Jamal is just a decent one not some great ...?????

Misbah " Okay "


Moin : "WE are not selecting Fawad "

Misbah : "Okay "


Now if Fawad is selected , the Misbah brigade will say look it was the captain who got his selection done

If not then they will say this is all Moin's doing.


The point is that the captain should be able to put his foot down when needed. He has a say in the selection. If not then no captain is worth his salt.
 
scoring against mediocre bowling on flat pitch will break every patriotic Pakistani's heart. they will use these scores to justify their nepotism and will result in embarrassment for the whole Pakistan. Only in Pakistan Players with such low average and endless failures are even discussed for selection.
 
it is very good of pcb to hold these tournaments and showing it live
but they shouldnt organise it in only 1 ground they should try to do a home/away matches and different ground to build intrest
 
I don't think missing out on the century will stop Shafiq going to Australia. Sad if he is selected

that would be ideal but there will be problems like travel, weather, in simple a lot more expensive and would need a lot more efforts and management. Tv coverage also be a lot more expensive.
 
I don't think shafiq deserves to be selected based on this tournament.. he failed in the last 4 ODIs against NZ in UAE.

He should not be selected.
 
The one thing that is overlooked for all batsmen in this tournament is the shoddy fielding standards in domestic cricket.
All our batsmen from 1 - 10 are dropping the ball in covers and pinching a single: none of this going to be available in international cricket against decent fielding teams.

Yes , all three facets are game are substandard and especially fielding.

its a combination of factors. bowlers in international cricket bowl tighter lines and the fielding is far far aggressive. If you want to see contrast of what that means compare fawad here to fawad vs. australia in the odi's.

you are a hater if you point that out.

it can only mean two things

either fawad is displaying his hard hitting skills against intl. bowlers like gul and tanvir

or gul and tanvir are useless and shouldnt be selected.

Nope. it means that the bowling and fielding displayed by Oz Odi team was far superior to this.
