Azhar and Shafiq are the replacements.

In place of Misbah and Younus we need Sharjeel and Harris.

Since Harris has no chance of returning currently I would replace him with M.Nawaz.

Push Shafiq and Sarfraz up the order. Our batting should look like this.

1) Azhar Ali
2) Sami Aslam
3) Babar Azam (vc)
4) Asad Shafiq
5) Sarfraz Ahmed (wk/c)
6) Sharjeel Khan
7) M. Nawaz
8) M. Amir
9) Yasir Shah
10) (Right arm fast bowler)
11) Junaid Khan

With the addition of M. Nawaz we got an spinning allrounder. Who could assist Yasir and Azhar in bowling. With this combination we will have 3 spinner, and three fast bowlers at all times. Which means this team can play in all conditions.

Aslam (Sharjeel in ODIs)
Azhar
Babar
Haris
Umer Akmal
Asad (Rizwan in ODIs)

Azhar and Haris can collective bowl 10 overs in a day.

For WI and subcontinent pitches:
1 Azhar.
2 Aslam.
3 Babar.
4 Asad.
5 Sarfaraz*.
6 Saud.
7 Zafar / Nawaz / Ghulam.
8 Amir.
9 Wahab.
10 Yasir.
11 Abbas.

For tours to SA, ENG , AUS, NZ.

1 Azhar.
2 Aslam.
3 Babar.
4 Asad.
5 Sarfaraz*.
6 Saud.
7 Fahim / Yamin.
8 Amir.
9 Yasir.
10 Ehsan.
11 Irfan jnr.

Saud Shakeel has talent, grit and determination and should be given a long run in the test team. About time we had a lefty in our test middle order. Haris Sohail would have been ideal contender but he doesn't seem to be getting fit and is very fragile.

Ideally we find another a solid opening pair, Azhar Ali, Babar, Shafiq bolster the middle order, and we groom a batsman at #6.

Seems the selectors are done with Fawad Alam, unless he has a sudden upturn in form in domestic cricket.

Haven't been following, has he been out of form? The logic that I always read out of the PCB for not selecting him as he is too much like other players in the squad and that he would get his chance once they retire.

Azhar Ali and Babar Azam should be the ones to replace Younis and Misbah.

Fawad Alam and Salahuddin. Back up options would be Umar Amin, a fit Harry and hopefully Sami once Masood is dropped.
