He is nervous and desperately out of rhythm right now.
An in form hasan is a consistant 138-142 kph bowler, with his peak speeds hitting 146 kph.

Hassan Ali is quick. He bowled for us for a year and a half with a hidden back injury and spasms and only after the 2019 WC with a stress fracture was this revealed.

He is now back up to natural pace, aided by a year of heavy working out and building up his body strength, and he is now entering his peak years as a fast bowler.

Not sure what’s so surprising

Nortje's pace has been virtually useless on this pitch considering the way tailenders were slapping him around.

Shows that simply being quick is not enough, you need something more. Nortje has the potential to be one of the best quicks in the world but he is not there yet.

I called this way back on the England tour, when his speeds were down after the extended covid break; that he is the kind of bowler who needs to keep on bowling regularly and with good intensity.

Even if he is given rest, he needs to bowl in the nets just to keep himself calibrated.

96 mph am a huge shaheen fan but i dont belive that.

Hopefully they rest him for the t20 vs south africa and rest him for the 1st test vs Zimbabwe atleast

Naah..it was a glitch.
The fastest he bowled was around 147,146.
But his average speed in that fabulous last spell was at 145 kph.
