Amla

I feel that Amla should have been given another chance. He is currently their best batsman in the domestic league

I feel so sorry for this guy. Hashim did very little wrong and was the victim of poor umpiring in a number of his innings!

I feel so sorry for this guy. Hashim did very little wrong and was the victim of poor umpiring in a number of his innings!

The guy got 4 bad decisions in his 4 innings. All of them by Bucknor. Andrew Hudsons words "It seems like Bucknor has something against the size of Amla's beard" may be very true

Zim batting

4 for no loss

Matsikenyeri scores a superb 4 of 'mad Nel'

Brutal Beast

41.3 Smith to Blignaut, FOUR, on one knee, worked around to a vacant
deep mid wicket rope
41.2 Smith to Blignaut, FOUR, sweeps to a vacant fine leg boundary, well
placed
41.1 Smith to Streak, one run, nicely flicked around the legs to deep
bwd sq for the single

End of over 41 (8 runs) Zimbabwe 132/7
N Boje 1-0-8-0 - Pavilion End
HH Streak 4* (20b) AM Blignaut 13* (14b 1x6)

40.6 Boje to Blignaut, SIX, advanced, picked up well over long on for
the max, well played

Zimbabwe 269

South Africa 13/0

close day 1

streak 85 and bliganut 50 have given zimbabwe a reasonable total... hopefully they will battle for longer that 2 days this time!

Zimbabwe 269 & 26/3 (10.4 ov)
South Africa 480/7d
