Ahmed Khan with 2 wickets

SL U19s 35/3 11.4 OV

Icelanders in an absolute tatters. 8 down for 78. Seems like that a final matchup with padosis is highly likely atm.

I was looking forward to good contest, but looks like it be mostly one sided affair, though Pakistanis will always give you atleast a little suspense when chasing.

148 to win.

Let things slip with the last wicket stand but Pakistan are in a good position to win this match.

SL U19s all out for 147

Pakistan should win but this can be a tricky chase espically if wickets fall early, hopefully pak batsman dont panic and play sensible

SL more than doubled the score after 8th wicket loss, shameful bowling to let this happen. Hopefully it don't haunt them here are they won't even let it happen again.

Indeed so called good batsmen...Qasim Akram captained awful last match and now same here ..he had 5 to six overs left from his pacers who were the best bowlers

LOL they are 10 for 3.
Pakistan and chasing the love story continues.

Bangalzai failing again and you have some people who have hyped him up as the coming of sliced white bread .

Got to question how these players are selected and what connections they have .

Should have cleaned them under 100. But looks like our batting is miserable as ever

Exactly!!! Some people mad at me when I said the same thing. For some fans 1 good innings/20 matches are good enough.

Something to do with pitches , same Bangalzai scoring runs for fun in Quaid trophy and see Huraira topping the charts

The likes are maaz, irfan and haseebullah are look very average based on the little I have seen of them. Maaz is a middle order bat not sure why he’s opening specially when you have Abdul Faseeh on the bench.

Just need a good partnership here and Pakistan will win in sha Allah.

SL were 70/8 at one stage and got to 147. Must have been a combination of good batting and bad bowling.

Have you seen him play in domestics. He looks someone with a lot of promise. It baffles me to see his performing this bad in under19s ..

After 20 overs Pakistan u19 are 47-4
They literally need about 100 runs to win with 6 wickets on hand

It’s gonna be one hell of a task .. they shd hv never allowed Lankans to cross 100 once they had them 8 for 80 odd.

The winner here will probably meet India in the finals as BD are already 68/6 chasing 244 against India.

This team needs to develop the killer instinct. Even against India they let them off the hook after having them for 96/5.

Pakistan need another Ahmed Khan speciall to pull this off.

Qasim Akram keeps making same mistakes and hoping to get away. Should bowled out SL under 90. He used part timers which helped SL to score 147. Deserve to loose. Also Wahid is doing same like Hasan Ali. Getting free pass from Ijaz.

They are too defensive. If Ahmed khan bats, we might win but the approach to chasing 148 has been pathetic

There is hope while Ahmed Khan is at the crease.

Get Wahid out of the team

WC should be for newer players to showcase their talent whereas we have a habit of players playing 2 to three WC

I hope they have a plan because run rate is getting out of reach. No boundaries forever now.

Answers need to be given by ijaz ahmed about some of these players that are being selected.

Maybe younis khan needs to be bought in with his no nonsense style and going ape if people don't listen .

Sack Ijaz Ahmed

We need a more competent coach. Get the best coaches at this level

Shehzad, Ahmed Khan and Zeeshan Zameer are the only players worth following

Ahmed khan is out that is game set and match i cant believe i stayed up for this , its 6 am here in canada

8 down!!! Game is over. Hope Ramiz sack this Ijaz Ahmed. We were lucky to in over Afghanistan and made to semi.

You guys are too harsh on your u19s. Winning is only part of the goal. Learning and personal development is the main goal. Sometimes losses teach much more than winning at this age.

Some fans thought we had this in the bag but with this batting, pitch conditons, sri lankans bowling i had a feeling sri lanka would find a way to win

Thats true, but its the approach I am more concerned about , what sort of modern approach is the management inculcating with this 70s style batting,

Things like this always happen when we have desi coaches. Just like Saqlain played Hasan Ali 8 matches despite failure, Ijaz played Wahid 4 matches. Result is same . loss in semi.

It's all about individual brilliance at this level, not particularly concerned about the result, the only disappointment is not being able to see Zeeshan and Ahmad in a televised game.

So we run of over chasing 147. May be our players need 60 overs if score is around 150, 90 overs if over 200 runs

The most important thing is that they beat India.
I couldn't care less about these Asia cups especially at u-19 level.
These tournaments are for their development.
Winning is good but losing might be a good learning curve for these young guys.
