Latest --> Sri Lanka 106/7 (28.6/48 ov)

G Swann bowling superbly hes got 3-12 and has ripped out the middle order.

A terrible performance from Sri Lanka really. England will chase this target 8 or 9 times out of 10 but there is still a chance we could bog it up, so I'm not satisfied yet.

Dishan out ct at midwicket off Swann, made 70 off 84 balls
SL 164-9

Fernando out ct at Point by Collingwood off Sidebottom
SL 164 all out off 41.1 overs

Swann becomes the first English spinner after Michael Vaughan in 2002 to take 4 wickets in ODI

Eng needs 165 from 48 @ 3.44

Sri Lanka's second high scorer is extras with 18 runs.
Players on the field. commentators think it is not easy to bat under lights here

Mustard bowled by Maharoof. Tried to play it to the legside but seems like ball hit the pad and went to hit the stump
End 23-2 after 5.2

Bell out ct at point off Maharoof. great catch by Dilshan
Eng 47-4 after 11.1

England losing their way at 47/4. Loose shot by Bell and a glimer of a chance snaffled by the brilliant Dilshan at backward point.

first ball after drinks break and a big appeal for ct behind for Owais Shah but umpire says no. I think a good decision

oye hoy hoy Owais Shah bowled by Jayasuriya. going down the track and missing it
Eng 94-5 after 27.1 overs - need 70 to win
Bopara in

first ball after break and Collingwood LBW Jayasuriya on 32
Eng 101-6 after 31.1

Eng from 94-4 to 107-7. Almost the same score as SL after 7 wickets had fallen. need 57 from 90 balls

Eng 115-7 after 35 overs - need 49 to win from 78 balls
Jayasuriya to continue. 5 overs 8 runs 2 wickets

Swann claiming the spot over Panesar this whole series
Eng 127-7 after 38 overs - need 37 to win

Eng almost there - 36 run partnership between Swann and Broad
143-7 after 42 overs - need 21 to win from 36 balls

G Swann Out!

147/8

17 off 33 needed.

It is 11:10 pm in SL and Eng 155-8 after 45 overs - need 9 to win from 18 balls

That's a superb win. Broad has done it again with the bat. He doesn't panic in these situations, gets his head down and makes sure the scoreboard ticks over. Graeme Swann has been a pleasent suprise so far this series. Amazing bowling figures and a vital 25 with the bat. Who'd have thought we'd by 2-1 up after 3.

well played england but they nearly messed it up at the end

Swann (opener for Notts) the MOM giving credit to Broad for keeping him calm. Well played by him

Well played england superb effort. Both Broad and Swann have shown today and in 1st two games that they have bright futures ahead of them playing for england at ODI level.

This England one day side has definitely improved. The bowling is amazing, the fielding is good, and we now have greater batting depth. When Pietersen stops batting like a one-legged donkey we will be even better. I am delighted with Swann and Broad, but Sidebottom the most of all. He was the bowler who I thought would struggle on these wickets, but his line and length has been faultless and he bowls to batsmen on merit rather than reputation. He is like a mini McGrath for us.
