Pak rarely if ever choke with the ball so expecting them to have SL reeling by lunch.

Pakistan can win this from here on..although i would like to see either ajmal or aamer get 5 wickets..everyone having 1 wicket each is boring

the way Malik/Gul/Dk batted on this wicket, i dont see why SL can't do it..if malik can then anyone can..

He really needs to go back and learn how to bowl in test matches.

He doesn't need to learn anything new, Aaqib and Intikhab can make a huge difference as Gul can definitely bowl well but he needs to change his line and length in test matches.

the pitch is much flatter now. That is weird. Day 5 is supposed to give much turn. It looks like draw. Bowlers have to work hard to dominate Sri Lanka batting line.

If Sri Lanka batsmen are currently playing, get settled, then Sri Lanka might chase.

Spinners can bowl 10 more overs before we can take new ball. That's one of our main hopes but i don't know if Gul and Aamer can really take advantage of that.
 
Best to continue with old ball and hope for a mistake - why isnt Fawad bowling ?

New ball will be bad news for us knowing that old ball can assist to our spinners a lot than new ball to assist our fast bowlers. Let's hope for the best.

Considering how bad Umar gul has bowlled with the new ball YK will not take the new ball straight away...

1) Pak wins
2) Draw...in case it rains...

Fact is - most test cricket is about attrition...we are in essence seeing a classic 5th Day of a test match
 
While SL have done well to not lose any wickets so far, they have batted quite slowly. If they want to make history and win this game they will need to start taking risks and that is where Pak will get there chances. At the moment these two are immovable.

I am on SuperSport. You are not missing anything. They are so annoying and hard to listen.

This game seems likely to favor Sri Lanka. Their batsmen are settled now and looking forward to chase the target than heading for draw.

We have a new ball and Gul decides to bowl bouncers and short balls on a slow track. Fantastic.
 
22 no balls from Umar Gul in this entire test series so far. That is promising.

The ball is likely to change again. This is getting weird now.

Sangakkara is complaining about why the ball is being changed. That is coming from the guy who has requested the umpires to change the ball several times, is now not liking the idea of ball being changed.

Aamer is yet to be hit for a boundary, while Gul has been hit for 9.

they only play the crap when we are batting. no surprises there.
 
SL will have to bat at a run rate of 3.6.... not bad at all, still doable.
 
Haven't watched it today so far but don't seem to have missed much as it's been boring with no wickets falling either! SL win or a draw on the cards!

asslam o alikum all,

i think SL try to chase this one...at least this will bring some interest to this game........i a m a pak cricket fan but i want pak to win only when they have a mood to...this series suggested otherwise.....so Pak should not win this...and SL should win 3-0.......may be this(clean sweep) will make Pak to change their attitude towards the game, and may be they become professionals by their attitude as well........and if Pak somehow wins this then there will be a lot of "Hanki Phankees" from Yunus Khan etc that win in the third match has boosted over moral etc.......he and his team should show this by their action rather then just words....
 
Afridi is one guy who would give you this breakthru.

Really disappointed with Gul. No yorkers with the old ball - no venom with the newer one.

And cramp to samaraweera comes to Pakistans aid - could this be the turning point?
 
Amir will struggle to take wickets if he keeps bowling wide of the crease. The Lankans have worked him out since the first test hope Aqib is working with him to ball closer to the stumps.
 
Pakistan struggling here and intresting to see if Sri lanka are having a dart at this total?

Mohammad Aamer to Samaraweera, no run, ooh, almost, surprised him with a short one again and he was caught in two minds whether to duck or play at it, he tried to do both and was rapped hard on the helmet, it dropped down just wide of the stumps and he almost lost his balance and looked like he was going to trip onto the stumps before recovering just at the right time
