The 3rd day not far away with the match pretty evenly poised, Pak has a lead of 50 with each team having a full second inns left. It is there for the taking for either team.

Pakistan would be looking to chase no more than 200 in the final inns whereas Sri Lanka would like the lead to be near 300 by the time they finish their 2nd inns. Another crucial day in store.

I wouldn't read too much into the stat of the average fouth innings score being ~150 as Murali would've had a lot to do with that.

If we can bowl out SL by the end of today, possibly early tomorrow, they should be restricted to 250-300. I reckon we can chase 250 within a day and a half.

I feel pretty confident chasing anything under 250 as well. Anything over that figure pushes it in the realms of hoping.

Yesterday In the last over that Amir bowled , He seamed the bowl like their was no tomorrow :D.If the conditions stay the same as they were yesterday then my dear brothers expect AMIR AND RAUF TO RIP THE LANKAN LINE-UP .

Any score would be difficulty to chase for us since the track would have be taking more spin by the 4rth day and especially 5th .

Yes a score a of under 250 would be nice , A score of around 300 or above would could be possible If the openers kick in and if anyone in the middle order get a century

well 300 is fine for us...even in first inn...rauf..akmal..misbah..yk..and malik had start but could not convert in too big numbers..in chasing..we need one triple figure..and 2..70++...we will be fine INSHALLAH...

SL bowling..specially is not outstanding..however, they are accurate and perfect with line and swing!!!

Oh come now , sure he dropped a catch but don't forget the amazing catch he took of Gul's Bouncer.

Yeah, he was decent other than that dropped catch, but the one he dropped.. it was so easy!!! I could've taken it, and I'm terrible at catching. It came straight at him. I wouldn't be mad if he dropped the Gul bouncer catch, but this was just unacceptable

Hopefully he makes ammends today by taking some great catches

Well yeah I was also pretty mad at him for dropping that sitter........felt like blowing him up :wasim , hopefully our fielding standards won't be like that today and no more catches would be dropped especially that Parana's because he is starting to give me the creeps :jm

Amir was seaming the bowl violently yesterday , Hopefully he'll give us a Asif-like performance today :asif

Cricinfo says it rained earlier

HOpefully there is some moisture in the ptich to exploit :D

10.15am The grass is unevenly divided on the pitch, and there is still a bit of moisture. There are hardly any cracks out there, so the batsmen won't mind that. But with bowlers having a bit of assistance, the experts believe today won't be all too different from the first two.

Good news for us. hope we use it well

So play will be starting 30 minutes late today

Are they purposely trying to delay it?

There was no sign of rain.

Maybe they don't want to face the early morning swing.

YK should take the new ball .. seriously !

Gul learns his lesson from the first innings and bowls one in the right area.

and ramiz was stating the ball before that he's been below par. im pretty sure ramiz has been below par this series.

i think gul did good in previous inning as well... he was bowling good at the start..but at that time field wasn't responding - at khurram manzoor had also dropped a catch off gul - so obviously he was gonna lose that morale with such fielding

Good piece of fielding by malik ... definately stopped some runs

Amir should bowl close to batsman body let them play rather than leaving

i hope they can pick up another wicket before the lead is over - other than the night watchman's - that would be extremely helpful.....otherwise if sri lanka posts even a 250 target, pak may have trouble chasing it down

Aamer needs a haircut.

And needs to go for the stumps, when nightwatchmen is on.

gul with another no ball and this time batsman smacks it for 444444444444444

Gul is releasing all the pressure with some poor no-balls. Come on sort it out!

I don't think Harper takes any decisions on LBW's anymore.

SL going at 5 RPO ... thats no good! No pressure being maintained with a nightwatchmen and a player in his second test match.
