Okay so i am not a big fan of this format. Looks like a desperate attempt to cater to the American market and make cricket more popular in the fast food nations.

However it does seem to have a lot of potential if managed properly.

We shouldn't make too many big changes to the format because it would change the essence of the game itself. Its a challenge to introduce changes which keep the nature of the game as it is but also gives a chance to both batsmen and bowlers. Right now i can only see Bowlers getting hammered.

I dont agree with people saying that only 7 batsmen should be allowed or lesser number of players should be on the ground. That would be a complete reshaping of the game of cricket and i am yet to hear a convincing argument about how it would be good for the game.

So here are my suggestions :

Some suggestions for this particular format :

1) no free hits on no balls.

2) 4 bouncers allowed in 1 over (adds to excitement of the fast paced format)

3) no wides down the leg side unless its a test level wide.

4) bowler should not have to declare whether he will bowl from over the wicket or round the wicket (just imagine how exciting it would be)

These are my 4 points so far.

Please post your suggestions.

Get commentators who actually know something about cricket and aren't just there to behave like clowns.

Make the teams 9 a side.

Bookies be sniffing around leagues like these, only a matter of time when a lesser player takes the bait & is sharjeeled!!

Make it 5 overs per side. Once we get bored with that then make an over a side, and then graduate to a ball a game.

Increase the number of overs to 50 overs :)

These games are simply taking too long to finish, the 4 matches were supposed to be over around 20 minutes ago but we still have more than half of the match left!

Too much time-wasting with the pointless strategic time outs and meandering between overs.

The post-match presentation is also a waste of time.

It's almost midnight now and the last match will finish after 1 am; the crowd has understandably been subdued for this last game.

Lock up all the organisers and throw away keys. Absolutely mockery to the game.

Spot on regarding a strategic time out. It's only 10 overs, if a captain needs one of those then he shouldn't be out there captaining.

Seems a little short. I say add maybe 10 more overs to the game and it’ll be perfect.

Yup either this or do a coin toss & declare the winners :))

Also stop this obsession with Olympics, the WC is the pinnacle in football not Olympics, likewise the GS' for tennis.

Preach. Even if other nations start picking up cricket, rivalries and history will not be formed. At least not for the next 100 years.

Give each team 2 innings of 10 overs like a test match. Will add a little context.

4 over powerplay is ridiculous.

If they need to have a powerplay then have it as 2 overs.

I haven't watched any but based on the comments:

Give bowlers max 3 overs instead of 2 overs. Why is the 5th bowler necessary? Dilutes the experience (same principle for T20 and 50 overs should also be implemented).
No strategic time-outs, surely the point is to make the game quicker.
Boundaries should be normal length.
11 players (and fielders) but only 6 batsman can bat and only 5 different bowlers can bowl. :)
Now lets play cricket :)

Stop the poimtless and stupid interviews during the match.

They serve no purpose apart from making the people involved in the interviews look like idiots.

Maybe stop conning people by saying it's a full house when there are loads of empty seats visible.

Add an engine to the bat , so the six travels to the next city.

On a serious note, this is a mockery to the great game of cricket. I haven't and will not watch any of it...even with Afridi batting.

The bowlers play no role in this format.

IF this has to survive they have to make rules like you lose 5-10 runs when you lose your wicket. Maybe bowled out is 10 runs and caught is 5 runs and run out is 7 runs.

you can't really complain about the time out.

Money has to be made. time out purpose's is for the money, not for the team.

Why not have a split innings of 5 overs each ? :))

PP needs to be removed here

This format completely nullifies bowlers and it is near impossible for a bowler to win motm.

Probably best to add 5 more overs and make it a 15 over contest, meaning it won't be a complete slogfest and bowlers have some role to play.

T15 is the best alternative to T20, not this T10.

I agree it shouldn't have to be a round numbers of overs. 10 seems too few while 15 seems too much. I would experiment with 12 or 13 overs.
