Yesterday in the first T20 vs NZ, Rizwan equalled the record of highest number of sixes (76) for Pakistan in this format.

Now Hafeez and Rizwan have hit the most T20 sixes for Pakistan.

The range of shots, approach, and the ability to change the game seems to be missing. Have a look at the stats of Balls per 6, Babar is at the bottom there. He really needs to work on that. Oh boy oh boy, pathetic stats.

Just goes to show what a cruel fate it was for Pakistan cricket when he was appointed as Head Coach and Chief Selector in 2019.

The Umar Akmal stat is surprising. Makes me wonder whether it was because he wasn’t the best player against spin (still better than Babar)? But he was terrific against pace.

In the back of my mind I always figured if you gave someone like Khushdil Shah a chance to open and the same freedom that Rizwan plays with (feel free to leave balls in the powerplay, no need to hit boundaries, it's ok to go a run a ball for a while and get your 50 off 40 balls, then hopefully hit a few sixes near the end once you're really settled), then even he would average 40+ with a 125 strike rate.
