Wonderful little gem of an innings today at the death today.

I have accused you of being selfish in the past but charging jadeja first ball and lofting him for a 4 showed your intent! Great knock at the death.

Every once in a while - you produce a little gem e.g during the Aane Do series and the SL series in 2013 leaving us good memories! Now is the time to call it a day on a high and retire on your an terms

Thanks for everything since 2010!!

Looking at the comments and hatred people are having for Hafeez here. Not a great Hafeez fan but just an example below:

Our last 3 series against Australia/WI and CT2017.

1) We won only a single ODI in AUstralia after 12 years. Hafeez helped us win it on his won with his captaincy and 76 runs knock.

2) WI series: We were 1-1 going into the final game for the trophy. Chasing a decent total we lost few early wickets. Who comes to the rescue. Again Hafeez with a brilliant Match winning 80 plus to help win the series.

3) CT2017 final : Final big match against India. Comes at a time we got a good start but loose a few wickets in between and we could have easily faltered below 300 target which would have helped India chase that target accordingly. He comes and plays a fantastic match winning knock of 57.

Not forget his 10 overs economical bowling he brings into.

Now 3 match winning innings in big knock out matches and still we are saying same old stories as we do again and again. Atleast go ahead and give recognition to the guy what he deserves. Our hatred towards our players will never help us acheive success.

He's a good player - his problem is that he suffers from the epidemic that is the "Pak Mentality".

When he first came in to the team he was a good attacking batsman - he has slowly regressed into a frustrating tuk-tuk in fear of the team collapsing should he fall. That pressure translates into the batsmen we have become frustrated with for a while.

Great bat, or at least more free-flowing, when he first came in without the pressure of a fragile team behind him.

Yes take a bow and then continue to bat at #6 please.

(Sarf at 4 already also please)

Bat him 6-7 and bowl 5-10 overs and he can continue for foreseeable future.

However he has no place batting in top four.

Totally agree that he can bat 5/6/7 whenever needed accoridng to situation and bowl some very handly overs specially in testing conditions where ball is gripping and turning and his ability to bowl at lefties. Still believe he has a lot to offfer till 2019 WC.

I agree with you 100%. His place belongs at 6. He is not an opener he struggles if there is a little bit of lateral movement. He should be given a licence to go out there and play his shots but not slog.

Haters got owned. He needs to be around as the 6th bowler. cricketlover87 people here struggle to digest facts.
I have always said that shadab and Fahim can go around the park as they r young so u need a proper 6th bowler to cover.
Malik is not good enough, so hafeez definitely has utility

Hafeez was owned by Yuvi until Shadab got him LBW.

Hafeez should retire on a high now.

He was in the zone for the first time since his innings vs India in the first T20I in 2012. Hindsight is 50-50, but if he would have been sent in at 4 instead of Malik, we could have crossed the 350 mark.

Let's pick the one over out of the 24 he bowled all tournament.
He can't bowl in first 10 on a road against decent players of spin (since his ban)

We shouldn't praise Hafeez nor should we abuse or taunt him.

All I have to say is the classic englishmens line

Well played

Malik was middling the ball as well as anyone in the world while Hafeez was going through an extremely tough phase, so Malik being sent ahead of Hafeez was understandable.
