He's probably a good contender of best opener in the world atm. He changed his career along with the entire BDesh team. Kudos to him

Tamim is probably the best anchoring opener in the world but not the best.

I think it's also includes some good performances from Mushy Mash and the Fizz factor

He deserves credit but I'll give more credit to Mash. The way he has captained the side has been brilliant.

Tamim is better Test opener - combined format, still way behind Amla & Warner.

He indeed is part of the resurgence, but as a whole team improved & Mash bonded them together. Also, biggest asset for us in last 2 years had been the performance of young players - all our young players actually lifted their game in clutch situation/matches, which complimented the seniors.

If I go by series/match - two Tests were won from starling performances of Miraj, Mustafiz, Soumya & Mossaddek. Soumya was the clutch player of PAK ODI series; Mustafiz against Ind & saf. Taskin brought us in the 2nd ODI against ENG - these are real difference maker for a weaker team. If seniors are to carry every load, don't think it would have been possible.

But, indeed his transformation is remarkable. I was upset not to send him at 25/6 against India, but he compensated more than enough against England.

His strike rate is a little low. Perhaps sufficient for an opener but puts pressure on the rest of the lineup.

When he fires Bangladesh fires. Get him out cheap and watch the rest of the batting fold. He's the Kohli of Bangla tigers
