As of now Tamim in Tests and I would pick Dhawan in oDI's.

He's comfortably the better ODI batsman and I'm actually surprised why he doesn't get enough credit because he's been one of India's best batsmen overseas in the past few years aswell. Even during India's torrid tour of New Zealand he averaged over 50 and his overseas record is far better than the likes of Pujara and Vijay

Tamim has had an unbelievable turnaround recently and has been prolific in the last couple of years or so but Dhawan is an amazing opener. I'm surprised he doesn't get enough credit for all his achievements and people are quick to replace him with Rahul, Rahane and all these other IPL performers.

he fails when ball swings but in ODI he is really great player & can be even compared with virat but due to his poor test performance he don't get alot credit!

No arguments there but he has still played enough good innings to be in-consideration. Not saying he should be a first team choice but he deserves a place in the squad.

The best ALL ROUND opener is De Cock. yes - he does not open in tests - but he can and should.

Warner is a far better all round opener then Tamim also.
