:))) look at the SNGPL squad.

The whole Pakistani team is there.

Easy win for them

I like the look of SSGC and SNGPL (apart from Misbah, who is too old to play 5 day games).

Ahmed Shehzad not in any squads? Has he been banned?

NBP's bowling attack is decent. Also looking forward to Ahsan Ali's performances.

Is Ahmed Bashir playing for 2 teams now. KRL and HBL

Department Squads are all looking strong, just hope the players get good sporting pitches.

And yet he somehow still misses out on featuring in either playing XI. What a joke.

Still too much of a disparity between the departmental and regional teams. Departments often beat up on these weaker regional sides with players getting a false sense of their ability.

I hope this is the last season of departmental cricket before moving to IK's favoured regional based system with fewer teams to boost the standard of competition.

no need. These departments have invested alot of money in cricket and finishing them overnight is ridiculous.

Departments build teams. THey give good money, they give jobs, they make grounds.

Regions offer nothing. Look at Rawalpindi region. They dont even play the best talent of Pindi. A few selections are based on sifarish. Every year, their team is changed.

While departments like SNGPL, they have build a strong team over the years by scouting players and offering them contracts.

In the PSL era departments are no longer the only option for young Pakistani cricketers to make a living.

Nobody is arguing that departments should be killed entirely - they should sponsor the regions instead and have a seat on the boards.

problem is, in regions, guys like Sabih Azhar end up getting more power. The regional staff and heads wont be removed.

In PSL, the control is given to the owners who then get their choice of team managment and pick players from lal over the world and region

Pakistan domestic scene is way beyond pathetic.

Literally no more than 10 people watching in the grounds, 40 year olds opening who average 15 after 70 games.

No wonder nobody bothers watching.

Apparently fans are being prevented from entering the ground to watch the game as the players find it "distracting." Pathetic if true.

Who would bother watching sub standard cricket with 40 year old opening, docile pitches, worst quality balls. To top it off in 45 degrees heat, it's not about sun bathing at all.

Two rounds in, and the season is pretty open at the moment.

As I have mentioned before, NBP and PTV are two promising teams (in terms of talent/player development etc).

The other one to watch out for is Peshawar; two FC games in and they have caused upsets in both; the fact they have a really well balanced bowling attack helps.

TBH, I am actually (pleasantly) surprised at how many of the teams this year have opted for youth (such as newcomers ZTBL and Multan etc). Long may it continue!

21 y/o batsman Imran Rafiq has quietly started the season well with two fifties (one in each FC match). He featured twice for SNGPL last season, but has moved back to Multan for this season.

Rather worryingly, all five of his dismissals this season (4 FC and 1 List A) have been against spinners.

It’s pleasing to see regional teams being more competitive this year, Karachi Whites and Peshawar in particular.

44 in the first innings of round three vs SSGC.

That said: surprise, surprise he got out to a spinner.

Three in three! Peshawar on a roll.
