So, Overall England have the best record in Australia, followed by the West Indies, South Africa and India.

Overall stats becomes meaningless now because England will dominate in most of those stats. I would like to know the stats of last 50 years, that will have most things covered up.

Since 1970, England have won 4 series in Australia, which is tied with the West Indies (4 series wins) in the last 50 years. So England still on top along with the West Indies in the last 50 years in Australia.

Interestingly Australia have only lost 24 series at home in their 145 year old cricket history. They have won 76 series at home in this period and drawn 17 series.

A truly magnificent record at home.

Brilliant record.

Now look at India's series losses at home:-

Eng- 5
WI- 5
Aus- 4
SA- 1
Pak-1
Others- 0

Only 16 losses at home. Correct me if I am wrong.

9 wins in 20 are better than 10 wins in 40.

% is a better indicator if you want to compare.

Eng may still come on top, but a far better way to see their success in Aus.

Since 1970, WI won 4 out of 11 series in Aus, so WI win % is 36.36

England since 1970, won 4 out of 16 series in Aus, so a win % of 25 for England.

Since 1970 though, SA has the best series win % in Aus. They have won 3 out of 7 series they have played in Aus since readmission which in percentage terms equal 42.9 %

Interesting, NZ have an inferior W/L ratio than Pak, despite having won a series in OZ, which Pak is yet to do.

Pakistan's last drawn series in OZ was back in 1979. Since then, they have lost 9 consecutive series in OZ.

In my memory, SA and India have competed very well. SA having similar pitches and using similar Kookaburra ball found it easier to adapt to Australian conditions.
