Why there's no category for Asian associates?

There are 8 Asian nations among top 20 associate teams but Asian players have never received Asian associate player of the year award from the ICC. They need our support.

I would request that Indian candidates be excluded from Asian Bloc awards bearing in mind India's refusal to compete against one of the premier Asian national sides, and not forgetting their failed attempt to abandon the Asian Bloc by joining a breakaway Big Three comprising two non-Asian teams.

What is "Ultimate Asian" of the year even mean? What is it supposed to signify?

And the "Youtuber" of the year - do the candidates have to be ex cricketers only?

Ultimate Asian is an emotion that cannot merely be described in words.

Youtuber of the year could be current or ex Cricketers both.

Given the curtailed year that was 2020, can't expect there to be more than a couple of nominees in most of those categories. I'll just pick who I think should win:

The most important tournament for Asian associates in 2020 was the Asia Cup sub regional qualifiers. Singapore and UAE were the winners of Eastern and Western regions.

But I would suggest you to add Singapore as one of the nominee for the associate teams as they dominated the Asia Cup Eastern Qualifiers. Nepal were awful in that tournament.

For Associate player of the year, Tim David of Singapore should be there. He was the star of Singapore in the qualifiers. Currently he is playing in BBL and has performed well there.

Conciliatory nomination of Rashid bhai in TV analyst of the year. Caught Behind started the fire, but Youtube must go on :(
 
I think Pujara should be at least nominated for test player

Tbh with you I have not been following Lanka or Bangladesh cricket at all these days so someone who has been following them should post some good nominations from them.
