The young-stars from Pakistan just made the most emphatic statement there is - we do not need superstars to win games! We dont need people with odd attitudes, fancy haircuts, love interests, clothes etc

All we need are hard-workers who listen to the coach and captain, execute plans as per requirements and that's it!

Bye Bye Super-Stars....Welcome to men of honour and self-discipline!

No harm in having both. All of these performers will get those airs soon. As long as they perform I don't care what they wear

You are forgetting one thing though. These youngsters have become the new superstars. You can never remove the superstar culture from both india and pakistan.

Problem is that they just dont have the charisma. Their family valies wont allow them to become those types of people.

Nice opening post.

I will take winners who put their heart out on the field any day over superstars who didn't win enough.

Really hope our nation moves in this direction.

Looks etc are kind of God gifted things. Cricketing ability and wins should be the no 1 priority. Once we start winning you will see sports in general prosper in the country which will be very healthy for the growth of the nation.

the age of superstars will never go.

the age of bad boys in pakistani cricket may take a back seat for the moment. the absence of afridi is surely helping the young team to carve its own niche.

In Pakistan bad-boys = Super-Stars -> has to go and is gone.

There is nothing negative with being a superstar. Mohammad Ali was as big as they got. He would trash talk everyone and build himself up . But he worked damn hard.
I don't really have an issue if get their ears pierced or whatever. As long as they perform that's fine.

Super stars and Heroes are what make people want to take up this game. Superstars and Heroes are what attracts sponsors, endorsements, advertisements, not Azhar Ali, Misbah type personalities, we need Alpha males in Pakistan Cricket.

A hero can be a humble one.

A Super-Star has ego which we have seen before and cannot allow back.
