It is important to highlight that like the previous edition of this tournament (in 2013), this was also held in England. With Misbah, we lose every single game but in the next edition without him and in the same host, we go on to lift the cup.

Fluke or not a fluke, the disparity in the results between the 2013 and 2017 editions is really telling.

Sydney 92 when small 217 was not chased down in 49 overs, given we were 108/2 at one stage.

How about Bangalore 96, when Pakistan were 113/1 in 14th over with 9 wickets in hand and RRR only 5.14.

And lets not forget Old Trafford 1999, when 228 was not chased despite having strong batting line up. 228 was not mountain total.

And then in centurian 2003, 273 was not defended by pacers.
