So, on the first ball, fakhar zaman was given out lbw. But hawk eye showed the decision could had been overturned as the ball was pitching outside the zone.

Fakhar did not review as he thought he didnt have a review left due to the earlier umar akmal review.

Now on facebook im ready the umpire was at fault as he said told fakhar that they didnt have a review left.

But i thought it was the captain mccullum telling him that.

But i think it was ridiculous. The players and the captain not knowing the rules

Fakhar wanted to review but the umpires said there was no review left.

After Fakhar went off, they realised the error.

This is according to the LQ manager.

The icc changes the rules every couple of months. This is what happens when rules are changed so often.

Even I didn’t remember that you keep a review if it’s an umpire call.

Not iccs fault. Icc changes rules at the end of cricketing year.

It is the umpires duty to stay updated

I'm fine with the rule change, it's progress.

Can't be rigid with rules just because a couple of umpires might not be able to keep up. It's their responsibility to stay up to date.

I forgot yesterday too, so did Rambo... but umpires should not forget rules. :danish

Yeah but you're not getting paid to learn the rules.

When you look at the umpires I think they're more concerned with how much biryani and ghosst they will be having for dinner rather than keeping up to date with the rules.

Umpiring standard is very poor in this PSL. Third umpires are taking so much time to make simple decisions.

For the Umpire not to know the rules is unforgivable. Heads need to roll.

This.

Sometimes there there is day and night between bat and ball and yet they waste time on snicko

This was an important and welcome rule change from ICC and even an ordinary follower of the game like me knew it was surprise to see what happened.

Lahore qalanders need to get the umpire removed. Because in hindsight, that umpiring error cost Lahore the match.

and this wasn't a simple error, it was a ridiculous rule error.

umpires loses any purpose if they start forgetting basic rules needed to be known

It was a huge umpring blunder, and umpire should be punished, severely .

The umpires should be hold accountable.

I work as an audit and it's my duty to keep myself upto date with rules and circulars. As each year, at different times, rules changes, we have to even change rules on case to case basis upon different circumstances.

I can understand that it's hard to make a decision in a spar of the moment but hey, it's not a rare situation. It's DRS.
