Today is the 60th anniversary of the Munich Air Disaster, which:
1. Robbed Manchester United of half their team.
2. Robbed Manchester City of their legendary goalkeeper Frank Swift.
3. Robbed England of Duncan Edwards, who would have lifted the 1966 World Cup instead of Bobby Moore, and would most likely have lifted the 1962 and 1970 editions too.
I was brought up in Stretford, home of Manchester United - my parents were the local GPs - but I'm a Manchester City fan.
Munich casts a terrible pall over our city, even 60 years later.
The clock never moves on.
