This would work out perfectly for Pak cricket.

PSL teams playing against the elite players will help recognise the truly quality players worth investing in and weed out the pretenders.

Had Saim been playing against Hazelwood, Rabada, Bumrah etc in the CL would have been a great test for him before he started his Int'l. journey.

The players will also know what to expect on the int'l. stage and will massively bridge the gap between domestic cricket and int'l. cricket.

What would be the point? It will be IPL teams full of the best players against Shadab and Azam K :ROFLMAO:
You're not understanding the point.

Azam Khan plays against those ipl teams and we see what he is truly made of.

Him against Bumrah, Starc, Rabada etc.

Before he gets a look into intl. cricket.

This will determine whether he is worth calling up and investing in.

Azam Khan has dominated Pakistan bowlers in the PSL. Pakistan bowlers are the best in T20Is.

Bowlers will also be tested against the elite.

Butler, Kohli, Warner etc will also be there, so it works for both bowlers and batsmen.

PSL unfortunately doesn't attract elite batsmen like those names to test out our bowlers.

Pakistan bowlers are statistically the best in international t20s

Because they play against the B, C or D teams in Bilaterals.

Look how Rauf and Amir bottled it against the USA.

Rauf could easily be facing Andre Russell, Maxwell, David Miller etc in the CL to improve and better his death bowling.

I used to like CL , it was actually good time for T20
I can't help but think CL came too early. Now we are seeing the kind of support that is developing from fans through supporting their niche teams.

One of the biggest challenge however is figuring out which player plays for which team? What to do about teams that are owned in different leagues by the same owner?

Amir was outstanding in this tournament. One bad over doesn't make him bad.

Btw, Miller's S/R in t20 cricket against Rauf is just 116.

Champions League would be a great tournament but I don't think PCB has enough power to make it happen without significant help from other boards, especially from BCCI.

Where did you get the stat from? How many games?

Also, I mentioned other names as well.

If everything is great, then why did Pak crash out of the WC and struggled against England, Ireland and even a D NZ team?

If bowlers are the best and the batsmen are getting the best practice - then why are Pak not dominating?

That's the key issue and why I think the Champions League is a non-starter. Nice in theory but utterly impractical.

The standard of PSL is very ordinary, all the control and authority is with Big 3, then how come PCB will do everything to restart CLT20, the only way possible is if PSL authorities arrange one off matches with BBL SAT20 Vitality Blast and thrash them like no tomorrow to build some interest from broadcasters.

At present PCB priority should be in arranging a successful CT25

On cricmetric

Pakistan crashed out because of timid approach of their batters.
