It all kicks off tomorrow :D . France go in favourites this year as all the other teams are in transition and havent really settled down with the same team. Hope England thrash the Welsh at Twickenham (No offence Oxy :D )

This weekends matches
Saturday
England v Wales, 15:30
Ireland v Italy, 13:30

Sunday
Scotland v France, 15:00

No offence taken RH.

Wales are without 9 of their Grand Slam winners-through long ter injuries or suspensions.

I expect us to be seriously thrashed at Twickers...

7-0 England
Cueto breaks through and gets the scoreboard running :)

Eng 47
Wal 13

I think Wales capitulated in last 15 mins conceding 20 pts/3 tries...although they played OK.

Sound thrashing by a better team though.

Scotland playing brilliantly. Sean Lamont scores the 1st try. 7-0 :)

SCOTLAND WIN SCOTLAND WIN SCOTLAND WIN :O :O :O :O :O

Amazing win. France's campaign for the Grand Slam mucked up on the first weekend :))) . Well played Scotland :)

Wales beat Scotland 28-18.

Exciting game-lots of open, free flowing rugby

Good win for wales today. The scots are really a changed side. The 6 nations is going to be a good one this year.

France. The first half against Ireland yesterday was brutal. If they play like that for 80 minutes we're in for a tough game.

france finally realised that youth shouldnt just be thrown in for the hell of it but should be blended in with experience. a valuable lesson learnt for them

Wales is in TURMOIL. The WRU puts the PCB to shame.

Internal conflict and power struggles; player-power forces the coach to resign; fat-fitness coach takes over; captain collapses and goes to hospital.

What a pathetic, embarrasing display by all parties concerned.

Well well well...England LOSE to Scotland!!! Championship wide open again.

And now Wales travel to Ireland-the game taking on huge significance!

Wales were absolutely terrible! No doubt affected by the ongoings of the last 2 weeks. Mike Ruddock was clearly missed. No team unity on the field. No passion which is ESSENTIAL for Welsh rugby. Lack of ideas...no spark...no interest..no desire.

Dwayne Peel aside - 0/10 for Wales.

Well done Ireland.

Scotland for the 6 Nations!!!!

Just listening to the 'coach' Scott Johnson - what a disgrace! Says that 'hes not upset' by the defeat! Ho wthe hell can an Aussie 'skills coach' have any passion for Wales!

oxy - i've never liked that scott johnson, his antics charging up and down touchline to try to fire up a crowd which by rights wouldnt need firing up watching their country play!
france looking good in an ominous position, did anyone see yachvili play, a top scrumhalf! who should be the starter

As long as Eng dont win-Im happy.

Wales are a joke at the moment - player power forces out the coach; and then the guy the players wants screws it up - and will disappear back to Aus in a couple of months to join the new Aussie coach.

Then what will the Welsh players want?

I said it before - the WRU is worse than the PCB!

France rugby team remind me so much of the Pakistani cricket team. Flair, brilliance, great to watch and class performers in one match and in the next absolutely awful.

Wales: 18 Italy: 18

6 mins to go.

Wales should have killed this game of in the 1st half - but lost their lynchpin Dwayne Peel after 9 mins.

I think Italy will grab a late penalty/drop-goal.

Its well deserved GA.

Player power forced out our most succesful coach in 30 years; we replace him with a guy who is Oz bound.

Pathetic pathetic pathetic

So the players got the previous coach kicked out? why would they do that, especially since Wales were brilliant last year? :20:

GA

They idolised some fat Aussie guy who is seen bringing the drinks onto the pitch! They said they could go to him with their problems!!!

So embarrasing for Wales-a total charade.

Eng not looking too clever v France - worst I ve seen them play for many years. :)))

Triple Crown For Ireland

2nd Year Running

Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

We Answered Ireland's Call!!

But We Need Humphreys And Not O'gara To Challenge For Wc !!!

England's Six Nations games against Italy on 14 and 15 March have been postponed because of the coronavirus outbreak.

The men's, women's and under-20s contests will be played at "a later date" say organisers.

"Six Nations fully intends to complete all 15 games in all three championships when time allows," they added.

Ireland's Six Nations games at home to Italy on 7 and 8 March were postponed last week.

Italy is the worst-hit European country with more than 3,000 cases.

Six Nations officials made the decision to reschedule the fixture on Thursday after the Italian government ordered all sporting fixtures in the country to be held behind closed doors until 3 April as part of measures to contain the outbreak.

The decree, announced by Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte, affects all areas of the country, including those places were the virus has not been found.

Playing the men's match behind closed doors would have meant the Italian Rugby Federation missing out on the ticket revenues from the 73,000-capacity Stadio Olimpico. The women's match was due to be played at the Stadio Plebiscito, a venue in Padua which holds about 10,000.

"We will refrain from making any rescheduling announcements while we keep assessing the situation," added organisers.

"Based on the information that is currently available, all other Six Nations matches are set to go ahead as scheduled."

Remaining Six Nations fixtures
7-8 March England v Wales
Scotland v France
Ireland v Italy Postponed
14 -15 March Wales v Scotland
Italy v England Postponed
France v Ireland
With their away match against Ireland this weekend already postponed, Italy's Six Nations campaign is now effectively over until their final two fixtures can be rearranged.

If France, who have three victories from three games so far in the championship, beat Scotland and Ireland in their final two games, they will clinch the men's title before Italy play their postponed games.

However any slip-up from the French could open the door for England and Ireland and mean the champions cannot be determined until Italy's rescheduled matches have been played.

Sergio Parisse, Italy's talismanic captain and winner of 142 caps, had planned to mark his international retirement with a farewell appearance against England.

The 36-year-old's previous plans to bow out of Test rugby in his country's final Rugby World Cup match against the All Blacks in October were wrecked by Typhoon Hagibis, which caused that pool game to be cancelled.

When could the match be replayed?
England lift title in 2001
England lifted the title in 2001 but were denied a Grand Slam as Ireland won their rescheduled match 20-14 in Dublin
Space is scarce in the rugby calendar.

The first Saturday free of domestic and European action is 27 June, but playing Tests then would affect planned departures for summer tours with England heading to Japan and Italy due to play in the United States, Canada and Argentina.

When an outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease caused three of Ireland's games to be postponed during the 2001 Championship, the remaining fixtures were played in September and October, almost six months after the rest of the matches were completed.

Spectators who had been planning to head to Italy for this month's fixtures have three options if they booked through England's official travel company.

Fans are being offered the choice of rescheduling their booking for the revised date, an alternative fixture in the autumn or next year's Six Nations or a full refund.
