Im getting tired of this obsession from the mainstream media of trying to label Tim Farron as a bigot because he might view homosexual relations as a sin. He has a great record on promoting LGBT rights and equality in parliament yet just because of his alleged personal beliefs he is being harrassed like this.

Its not like he's come out and said he wants to reverse same sex marriage act or criminalise homosexuality.

Yet he is being constantly attacked for this. You can hold a personal view but as he is a Liberal he has still voted in the past to uphold LGBT equality. So whatever his personal beliefs are shouldnt matter as long as he isnt using them to discriminate via legislation.

Rafa i am supporting of LGBT rights myself but the guy should be allowed an opinion as long as he isnt calling for discrimination against LGBT people. His record as an MP suggests otherwise.

This is a problem for strongly religious people.

My view is that what is in his heart should not matter as long as he does right by LGBT+ people. As Mr Farron has voted for equal marriage five times out of six (the other time he was not in the Commons) then that should be the end of the matter.

Liberals have always led the charge on gay rights as they are for personal freedom and as little state interference as possible.
