1. Football - Missing the mid week European matches and weekend league. Going to the stadium with 50,000 people around you singing..

2. Shopping- Online isn't the same. Going out, trying on clothes or shoes, having a coffee , some food etc.

3. Gym - Training in the parks or home isnt the same.

Live sport, particularly cricket.

Eating out.

Shaking hands.

Sitting next to people.

Going to the cinema.

As mundane as it is sounds I miss going to work.

Eating out is a massive miss too. I see people are learning how to cook, cooking at home more but I find cooking boring. Dont see the point of spending hours cooking when I can go out and enjoy a meal cooked by an expert, rather than the rubbish I would put out.

Luckily a few food places deliver to me with expectional food.

I used to order fast foods online. I have stopped doing that since COVID-19 started. I haven't ordered anything in 2 months.

I also can't go outside to get a coffee or see a movie.

Jummah/Friday prayers.

The beauty of Friday in the mosque can never be replecated at home. Having a haircut every Friday, getting fresh and going the mosque meeting people who you never see otherwise.

Yeah.

No Jummah at my local mosque for the past 5 weeks. It doesn't look like we will have Jummah prayers anytime soon.

Heading out for dinner and chilling with family/friends.

Going to watch United and the 3-4 hour drive each way.

Theatre and cinema trips

Barbers - usually head to the barbers once every couple of weeks. (Now trimming my hair/beard myself with mixed results)

My barber opens the shop for me but missing out on my hot cupping massages. A shame as these are great for your health.

Family for sure.

I used to only meet my family 2-3 times every month due to university.

Having lived at my parents home for a little more than 2 weeks has really made me realize the importance of being with your kin.

Car wash closed!

Washing two cars , cleaning inside ,windows etc. Open up the hand car washes.

I used to have a nice walk at night. That's no longer possible. Missing that experience.

Both of my cars need a thorough wash, clean and hoover - inside & out - but I’m trying to put it off for as long as possible. Hopefully the drive-ins reopen soon!! Well worth a fiver or so each time.

Coffee shops.

A pint down the pub after work.

Playing gigs.

Football, especially as now it looks like my team Newcastle is about to take over the world with the Saudi buy in!

But other than that, I really loved having the results coming in on a Saturday with MOTD to look forward to. Even if I'm not watching the live games with full attention, I like having them on in the background on a Sunday afternoon.

Not sure why drive through car washes are closed? Not even allowed to go for a drive, dont see the sense in stopping people getting fresh air when they are risking nothing.

You're being lazy James, do some graft and clean them.

I usually just go through the drive through as well, but will probably give the cars a good clean tomorrow, got bird crap on the passenger door window now, can't really leave that on there.

Going to university and asking questions from professors having a joke or two with classmates. Our school has gone online this summer semester sure I am not missing out anything on contents and lectures etc. However, self discipline, like waking up , forced to attend classes. I am having a lot more issues with procrastination right now. I need to instill some self-discipline and get my assignments done even though they are due in a month or so.

Have decided to pull my finger out and set myself the task tomorrow of fully valeting both of the cars - sun is meant to be out all day!

This is a big one actually. I don't need to see mine all the time, but around the holiday periods it's a really big miss. Also close friends who have family of their own. With the summer around the corner, I think this will hit home a lot harder if this drags on past two months, which at this time looks likely.

Update - Job done or not? :)

I used to have a chap come round to clean up the garden as the start of spring, I missing him so much right now!

Have decided not to pull my finger out and give it another week. :)

Aye, did it! Quite enjoyed it actually. Took my time and got a sense of pride out of doing it well.

Even dug out some leather shampoo for polishing up the seats in my Hyundai....

The Gym definitely, not only for the physical fitness but i now realize that it was a place for me to clear my mind of all the clutter.

Going to restaurants
Going to the cinema
Visiting friends and family

Even going for a run is a drag these days.

Nothing.

If anything, I’m spending more time with family, reading books and appreciating nature during
my daily walks.

Lockdown has made me appreciate things I took granted before.

Stopped going to Gym 03 months ago but continued workout at home.
Now Summer is just beginning and I am craving for swimming already. No chance this year I suppose.

Certainly going to restaurants over most things, which I suppose is not a good sign for me...

I am feeling it the most in Ramadan . Mannnn do I miss going to taraveeh and catching up with people I don't usually see all the time. Then there are iftar parties and night cricket .

Recently got a peloton, but nothing replicates going to the gym.
Going out on hikes
Eating out
Hair-cut
Heck, even grabbing a coffee at Starbucks or a hot bagel!
